..by the trailers alone?
There's a show just started here in the uk,"Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy",and though a fan of comedy, the trailers have put me right off to the extent I don't want to tune in..
How about You? Any Noel Fielding fans loving the show,or is there any other show out there making you want to switch channels ?

I like Noel Fielding when he's on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, but I've never liked his own shows. The trailers for Luxury Comedy look awful. As a friend said, who is a huge fan, Luxury Comedy looks like he's trying to hard.
I try not to be too influenced by trailers though, for films or TV shows. The trailer for Buffy was AWFUL. Made it look like Sweet Valley High with vampires. The trails for Scrubs too, made it look like the least funny show ever.
Some trailers try to make a new shows, with new faces, look like something that's currently popular even if it's NOTHING like that show. Then you get the problem of all the best bits being in the trailer XD

I'd become a fan of "Spaced" after getting the DVD's,and "Luxury Comedy" with the Surreal settings and OTT Facepaint/Makeup is reminding me of the Surreal performance Artist who'd previously worked with "Brian"..not a good look!

It took me a while to link Noel from "Buzzcocks" with this guy behind the facepaint...I thought he looked familiar! but as the saying goes,"First impressions last.."

I don't recall having seen trailers for "Buffy" or "Scrubs"..although the "High school cheerleader fighting vampires" theme at the time the show was doing well might not have grabbed me...The original Movie the show got based on comes around occasionally (Donald Sutherland as the "Watcher"!) I got into "scrubs" after checking it out on hearing it was like ER with more Humour, and I'd enjoyed ER..!

Mike and Molly without a doubt. Not so much the fact they're, um, large people but the godawful canned laughter which seems to infect all my fave US shows - apart from Scrubs.

Canned laughter would not be anywhere on a list of reasons to watch a show for Me either..although,as you say, some good shows do use the format and I'd watch despite it,not because I feel it adds to the show..But if they're recorded before a live audience, you will get reactions on tape..

I haven't seen the show or the trailers. There are several shows that have made me realize quickly that I would be wasting my time watching the show. Some shows I might enjoy, but if its on at such a bad time, then I know its not going to be watched by me. For example, on Saturday at any evening time, as shows are put there when the network is burning off the episodes in the United States. The only show that doesn't apply to that has run a lot of seasons is Cops.

I'm currently enjoying "How I met Your Mother" despite my only getting to watch it in a late night slot-a repeat,I think..The TV show "Firefly" apparently was given this graveyard shift treatment during its airing run in the US just before it was cancelled-I don't think it made it to the UK to be discovered here at the time..despite this,it had and continues to have a fanbase stemming from original fans, those who have since bought the series boxset available on DVD,and Universal's Spinoff Movie giving the series some closure..I figure a good show deserves support, whenever and wherever the network decides to stick it..of course, you have to be able to find it first to discover whether it's good or not..
