Two weeks ago, I was on a very exhilarating vacation in various areas in Mindanao (first day - Bukidnon, second day - Iligan, third day - Cagayan de Oro). On our first day, we did a zipline and though it was not as exciting as the first time (which we did last year), I still felt the erratic heartbeats while waiting for my turn. On our second day, we went chasing waterfalls - three awesome, amazing, beautiful falls - Maria Christina, Mimbalot and Tinago. The clincher was the last day. I had the most stressful yet exhilarating experience at the Mapawa Adventure park. We had to trek down the river, and if you think that it was just an easy, fun trek, well, it was not!!! First, there was the water slide - from a very high 30 feet something rock. Then there was that free fall jump from another rock which was also about 30 feet and lastly we had to rapel along a 65 feet waterfall. I am a very careful and guarded person. I rarely take risks and I try to calculate everything. But, after those experiences, I couldn't help but think that I had wasted my youth being a scared and overly cautious person. Sometimes, in life, we need to go through experiences that make us test our own strengths and resilience. I am sure glad I did those things (even if I needed some 5-minute pep talk before I took my jump) and if given the chance, I'll do them again! So, what have you done lately that has changed you completely or at least a lot, or even a little? What have your realized from those situations?

Believe me, it will. You just don't know what will happen to you in those kinds of activities. Lemme check my to do next list... hmmm... Nope no more stressful, scary stunts for me this year. Unless my friend up there, Manubla, actually decides that we do the bungee jumpin'!

Sounds that you did have a great adventure there.I love nature too. It was snowy and very cold lately and I realize that driving wasn't so bad.(not so scary as I thought.)

Yes, indeed! Well, I love the outdoors and any chance I get to be able to camp out there, I'd grab it. I love it when you're camping out and you hear all sorts of scary, nocturnal sounds. But, one thing's for sure, I really, really love the outdoors!
