Baoshan,birthplace of the Monkey King

It was said that the Monkey King,a well known mythological character in the Journey to the West,was born in the Baoshan Mountains(treasure mountains).The mountains lies in the senic Shunchang County in the south china province,Fujian. Thanks to the sparse population and backward transportation there,the ecosystem remain in its primitive condition. covered with lush green forest,its main peak rises 1034 metres above sea level.the Baoshan Temple have stood the summit more than 700 years.Nor far from the temple,you can see two age-old stone tablets,the inscription on them suggests that Monkey king and his brother were born here. these years,the town government made a huge investment to upgrade the tourism services and roads leading to the mountains. the unique local fellow life style and the breathtaking views of Baoshan Mountains are the musts for tourists.
