Recently, me and my mother went to the hospital to check my blood sugar. My parents told me that maybe I have a diabetes because of the following signs: 1. Frequent urinating 2. More thirsty than normal 3. Always feel tired 4. Easily get irritated 5. Tingling in my hand sometimes 6. Itching in my groin area Day after, my mother got the result and my blood sugar was normal. My father is a diabetic. I know that there is a risk that I may have it. I am just happy that I don't have it as early as now.

Have they checked to see what is causing these issues, and what testing did they do to determine you are not Diabetic? To me this sounds like even if you are not full blown diabetic now, these are early warning signs or signs of something else needing to be checked out. Most Doctors fail to really diagnose an illness or situation these days including Diabetes until most have problems that are often almost life threatening sometimes as well.

They checked my urine, blood and blood sugar. All results were negative. Everything is normal. I know that those are some of the symptoms of diabetes. But right now, I don't feel those signs anymore. I try to eat less sweet foods now. I also do exercise and have myself active everyday. Thanks for your response! Happy mylotting!

Its fantastic that you are not Diabetic! My 14 year old daughter was just diagnosed pre-diabetic with the likely hood that she will be full diabetic within a couple of years. She used to say to me that it was the end of the world...but I make sure to remind her that it really isnt. Its just something we have to deal with. We have totally changed her diet and eliminated ALL sugar. She has a glucose intolerance and is highly sensitive to sugar in any form. Some diabetics are able to have sugar in moderation but she does not tolerate it. So basically, new healthy eating style, excercise and lot of water and we are hoping to stale this as long as possible! Just continue being healthy and hopefully this is something you are able to avoid!

I'm sorry. I feel sad for your daughter. She is so young to be diagnosed pre-diabetic. I understand why your daughter feels this way. I guess diabetes is one of the deadliest diseases (correct me if I am wrong) in the world. This is not the end of the world. It is just a trial that your family have to go through. I hope that she will be okay soon.

Hello champoy186,Good to hear that your blood sugar is normal, because we all know that once we had diabetes,we can not cure it.The only way is to control it,by means of diet and prescribed medicine to take and maintenance .You must be very careful for that because your father had.The best way to do,is to go on a healthy lifestyle and to check at least trice a year. That is also what I am doing for now at this point of my life.So far,Me and my husband are normal in blood sugar.

Thanks hazelrose. Yes, I agree with you. Once you have this, you can't take it away from you forever. All you can do is to control it and avoid sweet foods. I will be very careful now on my diet. I know there is a huge chance that I might have it to. I just wish I could not inherit it from my dad. It is hard to be a diabetic. Happy mylotting!

I am glad that you do not have it. my husband is TYpe 2 diabetic and it is hard on him. At first he was afraid to eat anything in fear that his sugars will go up. He has a serious foot condition called Charot's foot. He is wheel chair bound and cannot work. As a precaution I have cut back on suagry snacks because my dad is also Type 2 diabetic. I have been tested as well and do not have it.

There lives must be like hell now. It is really hard to have diabetes because you have to watch the foods you take. They have to avoid sweet foods and eat less carbohydrates. My father can't eat too much sweet and rice. He drinks coffee without sugar. I find it very hard. I am glad you don't have it too. I wish you good health too!

I'm happy for you. But don't be too relaxed since your father is in the state. There's a possibility you'll be like him someday. Keep up the good work to maintai you health. Don't forget to do simple exercises and watch for what you're eating. There's more, you and your family should work together on this so that won't be any regret.

Because your dad was diabetic there's an increased likelihood that you will have it too. It's good to hear that you don't. You should always try to stay health nutritionally and hygenically to reduce your chances.

Glad to hear that you are not diabetic. Did the doctor by chance tell you what you do have if anything? Diabetes runs on both sides of my family and so far I do not have it.

My mother went to the hospital the other day to get the result. She just told me that my blood sugar was normal. But before that, the doctor already prescribed me some medicines as treatment for itchiness in my groin area.

Congratulations, this is a really good news. Yes, people say that you should be careful and make additional tests. It is wise to do it but I think that the wiser thing is to stay calm and not get stressed. Stress is a factor for many diseases and it is known that it can cause diabetes as well. So cool out and feel happy about those good results.

Thanks fannitia. Yes, I am also trying to control my temper now. I know that stress is one of the causes why people get sick. For the past few months, I've been stressed due to my work. But now, I am trying to stay calm and relax. I do exercises every morning and take enough sleep. Happy mylotting!

If those symptoms are consistent, I think you need to have further test just to be sure. But I do hope your blood sugar stays normal. Good day!
• Philippines

Yes. I will surely do that neelia if those symptoms are consistent. It really needs to be check by the specialist as this is a serious illness. I really hope that it will never happen again and my blood sugar will always stay normal. Happy mylotting!

Great to know that despite of the symptoms you were having, it turned out you don't have diabetes. What you and your mom did is great to at least detect it early in case you will get such disease from your father.

Yes, I was really worried when I told them that I felt those signs and they said that I might have a diabetes. We were heading to the hospital the other day to check my blood sugar. And the result is normal. I was really happy to hear that. I hope that my blood sugar will remain normal til the day I die. It is really scary to have this illness. Happy mylotting!

Your symptoms are classic of diabetes. I would suggest you to take another test if you continue with the same symptoms. Sometimes people tends to experience such symptoms in their pre-diabetic stage. It is good to hear that you are fine. Continue taking good care of yourself.
