Hi bro, I said to you earlier that tv programs in Indonesia is rubbish. Very few are educational. Even the preaching programs are ont real. I mean they are controlled by some kind of authority. The one that interests me is presented by Yusuf Mansyur. The others are nonsense. That's my opinion only. I may be wrong.

Are you a football player, too? I used to like it when I was a child. I stopped playing it because I had an accident. I got my finger sprained. Now I jog and mountainbike and train Kungfu as a hobby. See my profile pictue. Lol.

No TV for me. Hardly ever watch it. I prefer internet to TV. Two days ago our TV was taken by a loan shark and I didn't feel sorry about it. Poor my wife and children though. They can't watch their beloved sinetron and kids miss Shaun the sheep.

Your country is not alone in having TV programs which are considered as craps.
It is the same thing in my country.
Gone are the days when the good TV programs are ereally that good.
I do not know if writers or programmer of today are not that talented anymore to come up with great ideas for general public.
Dramas, comedies, talk shows, and other programs are becoming boring and nonsense.

I notice when one TV show becomes popular, then they'll be so many copy cats trying to do the same. I don't really enjoy watching TV anymore these days; those new talk shows, reality shows, talent shows, soap operas, or sitcoms do not really appeal to me anymore. The only talk show I like was Oprah, and the only talent show I watch is American Idol.

I agree, not in indonesia but in singapore as well. More than often, they are showing some rubbish shows, or so called informative programs when it's not informative at all. I've stopped watching local shows, instead i'm turning to cable. Overseas program are much nicer as they are covering a wide range of stuffs, making them interesting. If a show is not nice, it should not be shown in the first place and one way to do a force stop is to stop watching them.

I rarely watch the local show now
When i turn on my TV, i'll only looks for foreign movies. If not, soccer match is the second. The other? Better i turn it off, or turn on my DVD player

In China, there are few meaningful TV program, most of the programs are rubbish.
TV series are all about the story of the other person in a marraige or how the family members fight with each other.
I really do not know why people love that and what we and our children can get from the TV programs.

There is a lot of rubbish television shows here too. It is hard to shelter the children from it because it seems like it is often times the only thing on. There are certain shows that I feel like are completely inappropriate and the sad thing is that they come on when most children are having their TV times. I think that getting a child interested in other things is key to protecting them from the ill effects of rubbish. It doesn't always work but it is worth a shot.

hi,
its our choice what we would like to watch on a tv. In India you can find many soaps but for me i prefer to watch infotainment programs and sometimes some movies. Watching news is another good time but the commercial breaks in between makes us sick. Discovery channel or cartoon with my kids are something we enjoy as a family time.

i have the same opinion as you, most program on television are not educated and meaningless. It makes me feel so bored for spending my time by watching them. I only watch so few television program, such as news, comedy, or some short drama.
Selecting the program watched that suit for each age is the best way for fighting those rubbish program. If the rate of the audiences who watched those program decrease time by time they will change it by the new one. If there are children who watched them, it is better to assist them, tell them which one is good and bad, or it's much better to change the program with the more educated one.
If I had children I want to accustomed them to do more useful activity than just watch television.

Yes I agree with you, most tv shows are not educated in Indonesia, especially sinetron, which is only a story of love and conflict, I think if Indonesia back to his old sinetron, which raised religious and moral message, the sinetron would be a better for Indonesian people.!
