Everybody knows that all personal information would be abuse by people, companies etc. I am just thinking about facebook like a great way for some sick people find some information about particular person. I know that only you deside what is possible to find about you in facebook profile but what is your opinion about it? Do you think that information which are listed in your profile would be misuse?

People who list all their personal info online must expect to get ripped off. It is just crazy to give out such info. You think it is just for friends to see but then what happens when a friend is no longer a friend? If they have had access to your details then it is easy for the world to then know.
I always say this about viruses and trojans - you can have the most powerful anti virus software known to man but if you actually invite a virus in without knowing what you are doing then nothing will stop it.
Full details on Facebook or any other online chat site is just inviting in trouble.

Really good note. The thing is that I am not affraid of abuseing my personal information from site of Facebook like social network but sometimes it can be misuse by your former fiend for example. But that right, only you decide who is going to be your fiend on some of the social network site.

It is not Facebook who destroys our privacy. It is the user itself. It is us who register those information. Facebook is just a medium to destroy our privacy. If we are very cautious in every action that we do, then we can be rest assured that we are safe.

Yes, I agree with you, you are only one responsible for information which can be viewed in you profile. But, what if you were in some party and you were drunk, someone took a picture of you and posted it on facebook. I know that you should think about what you are doing but...You know, it can bring stupid situation...

Well I don't think it's fair to blame Facebook for privacy issues. They might use the information you provide for data research or something like that but I've never heard of them selling your information to third-party companies and whatnot, like some credit card companies do. Anyway, I don't think it's Facebook's fault that people OVER-share information. It's up to you what you decide to post online (whether it be information, pictures, etc) and what you decide to share with others, and which friends you add and which ones you don't. If people are having problems with this, they need to resign to the fact that they are OVER-sharing information on the web.

Hi ernesto,
For me I did not put a lot of personal information in facebook like others did, its just for my safety and to avoid people use it against you, never know in the future....

Facebook gives us the options whether to keep our privacy or display information about us. So the choice is in our hands. With this statement of mine, I don't think facebook is destroying our or my privacy. I choose not to put all the information about me in my facebook account because there are things which need not to be put. What is important that you are being true to yourself.
