I watch the news on TV a 15year old boy died because the electric current is goes in his ear. He was talking on cellphone when his cell phone was in charging.
The media news reporter told the people be careful while charging the mobile you cannot talk on cell phone. What you think this is wrong habit and the person should change it or not.

It may not be true at all times. But we need to be careful enough in using or handling our mobile phones. And juts to avoid such incident to happen, we should avoid using it while its charging. Though personally, I tried using my mobile phone while it is plugged or its charging and nothing happen to me. But we should not be confident with it, because prevention is still important, so why take the risk?

current can pass materials which transmit current. there may be some leakages on account of which this has happened. so we have to be careful. we should avoid using the phone while it is being charged.

Good to know - I didn't know that this could happen. However, I try to use headsets to prevent cell phone radiation from entering my brain and causing brain cancer. I don't think the radiation is THAT dangerous for adults, but it's better to be safe!

I really advice that's not only to don't talk also don't do any thing while charging like messaging or Browsing, it's also harmful to us. Also it reduces the Battery Life also. So it's good habit if we follow this.

hi surekharathi If it could happen once it could happen again so I would sure not take any chances if I were charging a cellphone.
surely one can wait long enough to let the phone get charged
before using . If there is any risk at all one should just not
talk on it while charging the phone.

hello surekharathi,
indeed that is a bad habit and not a right thing to do. hence, it is really affecting the health state of our mind. talking and using cellphone while it is plugged and being charged is really hazardous. aside from the electric current that can affect the ear, it will also cause the start of vertigo. as this will also affect the hormones inside your body. and the result will lead to vertigo which is really suffering if you will have it.

I have never heard this before, but I will be more carefull from now on, since, sometimes, I do talk by my cell phone while I am charging it, I donĀ“t know the circumstances under wich, this girl was injured, maybe the phone was not working 100% good, but, either way, I will try not to do it again. Maybe it is safe to use the earphones?, maybe is better not to use while charging.

dear sis,
I am not sure how true is it.
But, there is nothing if we take extra care.
One thing I know is, it is better if we off our mobile phone while it is charging- it is a good way to care the battery.

Oh, i didn't know that it would be that fatal if we talk on the phone while it's being charged. I always do that specially when my boss calls and i have already a low battery.

surekha: it is sad that the current has passed to the boy while he was talking over cell phone. It is advisable not to talk while the phone is being charged.
Today myself and my cousin were in an auto in a petrol bunk. I wanted to contact the call taxi company over cell phone. my cousin suggested my switching it off because it may catch fire if we talk in petrol bunk.
It is advisable to use landline wherever possible instead of talking over cell phone.

Ya, this is absolutely a bad habit, try to not talk on ur phone while ur phone is charging. By the way, i think if the electricity is not going in our body, but the radioactive also will cause us brain damage if we always talk on phone during charging it. So if we have this habit, we really have to be caution on it.

That sounds terrible! I always unplug my phone if it is on charge and it rings. One can never know how much current can leak into the handset from the mains electricity. Maybe 9 times out of 10 it would be OK, but it is not worth taking that risk as this story points out. _Derek

I've actually had a cellular phone of my own for fifteen years now and I've never thought twice about talking on my phone while it was plugged into the charger. I think that the reason that it has never bothered me is because of the fact that I've used a traditional landline phone that was on a cord from the time that I was a child and for that reason I think it is safe.
However, I also think that anytime you are using any kind of device that is hooked up to a charger there is some inherent risk that is involved in using it. People don't get hurt often, but it is something that could happen.

I have never heard that before and I doubt anything could happen. I used to always use my cell phone while it was charging. I never had anything happen. Don't believe everything you hear on the news. Most of the news these days is for shock value.

Hi Surekha
I have also heard of that news, but no body knows the exact reason behind that mishap like,"Was it because of poor wiring, voltage fluctuations, poor charging parts or something else".But it doesn't happen allows.Whatever it is always better to avoid such mishaps. Because anything can happen at any time. One needs to be cautious and preventive.
I have done that several times myself. But i advice others "not to".Unless it is an urgent call, u can avoid it and call them back later.
Have a good and a safe day!Happy mylotting!
