Have you notice? If religion can bring peace and love why is there is war? I am Catholic but I admit I don't agree some of things that comes out in priest mouth. I even thought we don't need church to pray.

I watched a travel documentary about some people's trip to Suriname, a small country in South America. They showed a mosque right next door to a synagogue. The two religious buildings sat happily next to one another quite amazingly. In Northern Ireland there are Catholic and Protestants yet they haven't got on in the past. They both believe in the same God. In India there are Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims. They should learn to respect each others religions. I have visited Israel and been to Jerusalem. The Dome of the Rock holy to the Islamic people is right next to the Western Wall holy for the Jewish people. Christianity is like an off shoot of Judaism. When I was a student I found learning about world religion very interesting. I am level headed about each religion and respect each religious person. I saw a travel documentary about an American man and he visited Saudi Arabia. The Muslims pray five times a day. He noticed a shopping center would close during praying time. I visited the Maldives and found out it is one hundred percent Muslim. I don't think anyone can choose another religion if they come from there. It is such a shame when war happens due to religion or religious differences.

I don't think it is rather religion, as much as people just wanting to be right. There are many times where people tend to get very offended when someone decides to practice another religion. They insist that the other person is in the wrong and they are really just going to be right. And all that don't agree with their religious views must be about ready to burn for all eternity. Sadly, it is only a minority who hold these views, but it is the minority that is really just going to be the loudest and most vocal. It really does make everyone look bad by comparison. In the end, the strength of religion is the people who believe in them. There is no right answer, no wrong answer, just believe what you want to believe or don't, but the moment you try and shove your views onto others, you lose all credibility.

Yes, different religions can cause many problems. It can even lead to the war. You can see it from the history. I don't understand why people can't respect other's choice. I love China

Hi hunibani, I agree with you when you say that we dont need any prayer place to pray either a church, mosque or temple. What is important is - we listen to our conscience and be responsible human beings. But, Religion and religious leaders ,have a way of dividing people and causing havoc...It is nothing but a fight for power and self importance

Religion is a man made institution that came into existence to control, steady and if possible reform human behavior. But as civilisation progressed Religion too underwent many changes most of them for the worse and now has become a curse to the human society since all that it has done is divide people ...

No we do not need church to pray. Jesus Christ will do. If you said why is there problems and war that is one thing. But you didn't ask this. That is ok. You asked why did religion cause it? I can tell you why. It is even in the bible but I don't want to sound like I am preaching or something. I just know why. Why do you think so?

I also thought that it is the people who make bible. I believe in God, in my heart and soul. But I don't understand why I do't like priest, most of them.

I'm not sure how Jesus felt but I know the priests of his day did not like him. I think there can be bad and good priests. Not sure what you mean by people make bible? People wrote it and people read it. It is not perfect but what we have for now. It does give us some knowledge. Like praying I do not think we need to connect the bible to religion. I guess it is how we think of religion though. I need to understand what you mean by religion? Anything you say I appreciate. I have a good answer I think to this question.

Religion is made by people, not by God. People made this religion to make people good, but people are not perfect. the problem also is that tolerance and religion are often incompatible and wars are made cus some want others to believe in their religion. so religion is used as a weapon and a mean for getting power. in the end, religion becomes a corrupt institution where only few hold the power and exploit others with it. they keep masses ignorant for making them believe and also for keeping them as slaves somehow. What I mean about the bible is - BIble is made by people not God.

Religion is the way of praising God. But not all religion exist in this world is true. Do you remember who killed Christ, it is the High Priest of religion. In our times, their are so many false prophets. Remember the one who says against the words of God, is false preachers. Must be followed the words of God written in the bible. My advice, seek the truth. Pray and ask Him to guide you in the way that leads you Eternal Life. We need Church. The one Build By Christ. (Matthew 16:18) Christ say My Church. It is your turn to seek, which of them professing true Church.

I think anywhere where you can find peace and silence and can communicate with God, then i consider it as a church. I remember God used to pray in a hill with all the people. Without special structure.

because of different beliefs... some church teach love one another or love your enemies, but for some hatred and anger is their vengeance... so its up to us how do we see wars in our perspectives

Religion and Cast this are the two strange things bring up for us by the God. The true God is Love and Sweet hearts. When this two things will not in the World. We saw little Peace with and without Partiality shown by each one. We hope in future this will hidden from the world.

Yes friend I also not know why people fight on the basis of religion. I trust only one religion that is human being. We all are human being and made by only one God. God not say to us to create religion we own create the religion. I love all religion and I have lots of friends of different religion for example Christan, SC and Muslim also my friend they came to my house we enjoy and I also goes in their home. Our family members nature is free and care about religion. I hate those people who fight only for religion matter.

It doesnt matter if we have religion or not. As long as we do good things and not hurting each other. Pain is normal for every people but violence because of what you believe about religion is morbid !

scarily nearly all conflicts are related to religion. from the crucades right up to Iran/israel tensions. the balken conflict, the IRA bombing campaign in the Uk, 9/11 to an extent and many more. i am not a lover of religion because of the hatred that seems to follow it and i feel without religion we would get on with each other so much better. but that is a personal opinion and for many religion gives great strength. why does this strife exist over religion? i do not know. but how sad it is to see kids suffer due to religious beliefs.

We,as True Baptist believer we follow the Bible scriptural ways and our Gods is not the trouble maker and our God is the God of peace and hated the troubles..No matters what comes to us we spent time to God and pray for our needs.. Some people religious trouble maker just cause troubles to fight against religions and bringing the Bible but they are not the true from God..Satan is the trouble maker ,satan uses people and brings religion and also God is the God of peace not a trouble maker... Sorry for saying this but it is truth.

It is not the problem of religion. It is the problem of men. They think that they are superior and the others inferior. lIKE AND DISLIKE IS PEOPLE'S WISH. But peole tend to influence their like and dislike on others. My philosophy is Accept what is good and reject what is bad. Though i am not christian i like few things in the bible and few others in my own religion. That gives me peace. God is one and they preach the same though religion and method of prayer is different. TRUST GOD AND NOT RELIGION. hope this dint hurt anyone if did sorry.

it means religion cannot really make peace and order to the world,,,religion sometimes is actually the coz of war like fights among different religion like islam, buddhist , christian, muslims etc. and everyone believe that the religion they belong to is the one true faith, therefor others disagree thus war. there are so many gods they worship and whoever disrespect their gods is their enemy....

i think this is because of the different beliefs and then each one is standing up for what they think is the truth about what they were told. and well Religion among many things is the kind of debate that can't be won over!

Unfortunately, religions can not bring peace and love in our world like you want to believe, they are existed mainly for self preservation and whatever reason, but not for the sake of a peaceful world. Sigh!

Religion is mankind's attempt to understand God. This concept is not a bad one, however mankind has their own agenda. Religion is the catalyst by which many of mankind's problems are forced to the surface so they must be dealt with. This aids in the learning and growing of mankind. If one truly wants to find and understand God, one will accomplish this much quicker without religion.

All of us are different from each other so we have our own and different opinions and thoughts that sometimes lead to misunderstandings.
