My father actually walk up to my neighbor

On my previous discussion, I mentioned that my neighbor indulge their dog to poop in our front yard, and leaving so much mess there, that my parents really can't tolerate it. Yesterday, while they were releasing their dog running and snooping around again, my father took the perfect opportunity walk up to them, and tell them leash their dog and not run up to our front yard again. Also, my father pointed out the mess their dog had made on previous days, and they have to pick up those mess. They agreed and apologized. I felt like that I was falling behind, my father actually took the initiative.

The really disturbing thing about this is that your father had to go over and tell the morons about their dog's mess in the first place. Make sure you keep on top of this, and get yourself one of those child's buckets and spades and, should the poop hit the grass again, collect it and dump it on their lawn. I've had dogs for years, and I would NEVER leave my dog's mess on someone else's lawn. That is just unacceptable.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I had a neighbor that walked her dog in the early hours of the morning...just at dawn...and let her dog do it's business in my yard and every morning, there was the pile. I just got tired of it and one morning, I got up and waited for her. Here she comes - she is literally my next door neighbor, our yards are attached...and she walks out her front door, past her yard and to mine and stands there while the dog picks its spot. I walked out the front door and said to her...I don't appreciate you letting your dog poop in my yard. YOur yard is literally right there...let the dog poop in your yard and not mine. If you don't, I will be calling the police because this is just not right that you do this." She stopped. But I watched for a few mornings and she would walk ACROSS the street, let the dog poop over there and then walk back to our side of the street!!! Some people!

As long as they apologized and said they would pick up the mess is a pretty good start. But they have to do it. I am sure that they might not have had an idea that their dog was making a mess in their front yard. Now you can make sure they live up to their word.

i think dogs should be kept in the yard, not be released without a watch,,, but somtimes people would ignore this,,,so others would help him find it. seems that your neighbor is a good apologizer, some people would not follow your advice and keep doing the same wrong thing ...

And that was the best course... If someone being too shameless for you, then it is better to be like them.. Haha... Your father did the right thing... Now, the mess will be cleaned up and you wouldn't have to worry about any mess in future... If you get any, you can simply call the authorities... Take care...

Like I said you had to do that. Tell them straight away. You know I never like dogs and cats because they poo and pee at will. You know animals are all like that.

Your dad did the right things. It is very messy and annoying to find poo just outside your door step. I have stepped on a dog's poo sometimes back and I was very much pissed off by the whole thing. If you cannot take care of your dogs properly then it is better not to have them.

Your father do a right thing to his neighbor. If you love your neighbor you must confront them that they did wrong. To correct their bad habit.

Well, someone had to tell them and I'm glad your dad stood up to them and told them to keep the dog on a leash. Here we have to do that too, it is very dangerous for the dog sometimes and for the other animals for a strange dog not to be leashed. They have to pick up after him too, not fair that he poops on your property and you have to clean it up. We have laws that we clean up after our dogs here as well, I think it makes for a better neighborhood.

It is good for your father to take this initiative and to stand up to your neighbors. What they were doing wasn't a good thing, they weren't acting as very nice neighbors so your father did the right thing. Now, they will think twice before letting their dog onto your yard. It is thier dog and they should take all responsability and clean up after him

Well that's good that your father took the iniative - sometimes it can be hard to confront other people about this kind of stuff, especially when you live right next to them and will have to see them every day. Hopefully they got the message and will clean up after their dog from now on...
