How many people out there feel like they can do a better job than their manager or boss? Most managers are suppose to sit back and figure out how to increase sales, how to get their employees better at what they do, make sure they are hitting numbers etc. My boss I feel doesn't do any of that except punch in numbers at the end of the week and calls it good. Half of us need to be retrained, talked to or fired. We don't know whats going on half the time. No one has motivation to be good employees...nothing. A lot of us just show up and go with the flow. I am a shift manager and am one of the few there that wants to make a difference but can't due to how the other employees are so accustomed to our general manager and the way she runs things. She's prohibiting some of us from getting raises because our numbers on sales and inventory and all that good stuff is off. We dont hit our marks. Bosses over her locked us out of raises because we aren't improving. She doesn't enforce anything and when myself or one of my other coworkers who is a shift manager too tries implementing a new plan or strategy she says ya but doesn't enforce or follow through. For example, I'm the person that wants the store really clean. In order to do that you have to implement a cleaning list. I've made the list, had people on my shift do the things from that cleaning list but no one else will do it on their shifts. Pretty frustrating when she tells me that I'm in charge of the cleaning list. She should be the one telling other people on her shifts to clean something. There is so much more. Has anyone else dealt with this? Dont get me wrong, I love my job and want to make the store better but my manager really needs to step it up.

I'm sorry of what you're going thru at work with your boss and everything. But if you've already talked to her and nothing is working then I would go to the person that is ahead of her and say something. How else are you guys going to improve if your boss can't help and retrain you guys and better impliment things? If that doesn't work then I would go ahead and find a new job but I know you don't want to because you love you're job. My boss is kind of lazy too. She's supposed to help us when our patient flow is busy and just one person is working at the desk but she doesn't i'm always left there alone until the other girls come in and it gets frustrating. You ask for help and you don't get it. And when things happen in the work area and you go to talk to her she doesn't talk to the employee to work the situation out she just lets certain co workers get a way with alot of things but if it was one of us doing the thing their doing then we get yelled at. I love my job too I been there for 7 yrs and don't want to leave but I think we need a differen't boss or someone train her better or something. Not alot of people like her either.

My boss is nice and do work hard like her employees so I don't have much complain about but still there are some instances but that was just small things so I it is ok for me.What I'm complaining about is some people who act like boss even though they are not your boss. There are trying to be more boss that my boss which really pissed me off.I'm trying to be more patience about it and just don't mind it but there are still some chances that I do say my part and complain about it especially when I don't take it anymore.I just it is my right to complain and stand for things that I know is right.
