You have seen many movies with Johnny Depp in them I'm sure, and I think he is a wonderful actor, one of my faves. And he's always been quite handsome no matter what he does to his face and hair. Is he a fave of yours too? I can't decide which movie he was the best in, I loved the Pirate movies though. I thought I had seen a JD lookalike at one store I went to around Christmas but doubt he would go there, he looked more latino than him though. But he does have a somewhat latino look about him sometimes, especially when he has alot more facial hair. Hawt.

I definitely agree, that he's hot, hot, hot! I love the way he plays his roles, which is quite on the unusual or on the eccentric side. I loved the Pirate movies as well and the fantasy movies (Alice and Charlie and the Chocolate factory). I so love, love Johnny Depp and I am looking forward to many movies to come!

Those were some awesome movies, I also loved Alice in Wonderland, Chocolate Factory, & Edward Scissorhands. In his case he gets stereotyped at times and plays the wierdest roles but thats what I like, he can still go back to playing someone else more human too and still be quite as good.

HAHA I've never been on the "he's so hot" bandwagon but I have always thought he was a terrific actor. I am very excited for the Dark Shadows movie coming out in May.

LOL, me neither with most celebs but there has always been something with me for him, not sure why. I can't wait for Dark Shadows either, it will be awesome.

Dark Shadows will be an interesting movie. I am too young to have seen the original soap opera that it was based on, but I am intrigued now to see Depp's acting in this movie. I have read somewhere that he idolized the lead character so much when he was growing up that he actually wanted to be him. Now that he has the chance to be the lead character, I really want to compare this performance to Pirates.

Dark Shadows was such a fave of mine, I loved that show as kid. I wish I could find the shows still in reruns somewhere. That was one show I could watch alone and/or with my mom and not have my little brother bug me about not wanting to see, he always got his way with the other shows on TV, though. It is what turned me onto horror movies as I got older, they didn't bother me as much. I thought they were pretty cool. Later I got an interest in how the make-up and special effects were done and wanted to go into a type of career that worked with that kind of thing but never pursued it. Mind you, on the contrary, I'm not the least bit the "gothic" type either.

I love Johnny Depp or at least I love Jack Sparrow. I am just in love with that character in general. Seriously, I am a big fan of JD. (I fell in love with him back when I was younger and he was a character on the show 21 Jump Street.) I enjoy watching all of his movies but the Pirate movies just are top shelf for me. If you have not seen Rum Diaries yet you should. It's a quirky movie too. Some of his other characters such as Edward Scissorhands and the Chocolate Factory character are great. He has been in some very interesting roles. I really enjoyed his role in the movie The Tourist. I am awaiting his new movie to come out to see how it compares to the rest of his.

He does have some interesting roles, thats for sure. Oh I used to watch 21 Jumpstreet religiously when younger, he was great in that. He always hated being in that show though and wanted to be an actor in movies and it looks like he got his chances. he just hates Hollywierd though and never has lived there himself I believe.

Johnny Depp is one of the greatest actors of all time. He takes roles and twists them in such a way that it fits his style. Although he does typecast himself a bit as the 'eccentric' type, it never truly does get old. There is only one movie that I haven't liked Johnny Depp in. That movie was Alice in Wonderland. I don't believe it was his fault really. The main problem with the Hatter character was that he wasn't 'mad' in the sense of Carroll's novels or the Disney movie, rather he'mad' in the sense of "revenge for the fallen heroes" sort. It just doesn't fit the original character. Maybe I looked too much into it (being a huge fan of the original books), but I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable when the Hatter started to recount the attack. After that moment in the movie, I almost felt sick when I saw him on the screen. Anyways, I fully support Depp and the movies that he decides to star in. By the way, did anyone see the Rum Diaries? That was another role that Depp excelled in as well, although the movie itself was a little average.

He is about the only actor who I have seen do it too and do it so well. Michael Keaton used to be another one who played all kinds of different roles but he has been no where to be found in many years and he only had one really "out there" role as far as I can remember in "Beetlejuice" (another classic that I loved the first time I saw it). I don't recall "Rum Diaries", I wish I had seen it.

I cannot get enough Johnny. Even when you look beyond his work and his looks, he's so cool. he gets tattoos of things that affect him, so he has the actual jack sparrow tattoo now... It's just refreshing to hear about a celebrity and still be a fan of them haha.

Oh I didn't know he had gotten that tat of Jack Sparrow on him now, thanks for telling me. Hehehe, I know what you mean, alot of celebs today are just not worth being a fan of anymore. The way they act more or less or whatever. Johnny has alot of followers who are still interested in what he does and such. He has that cool approach to everything, and is "real".

Good taste you have there. I will always be a fan of his. Those pirate costumes are really interesting, he seems to fit the role like no other. I doubt anyone else could play his character if he were to quit being in those movies.

I always liked his work, the fact that he is handsome is a bonus. I like his crazier/darker characters. I liked his roles in period drama like Ichabod Crane in Sleepy Hollow and have been trying for ages to see Sweeny Todd properly. His voice and likeness in the Corpse bride was beautifully done and I really liked him in Don Juan DeMarco though not his best known work is still quite romantic. The Pirate movies though are a perfect combination of his previous characters. He uses the illusion of being not quite there to control the situation, you can see that underneath all that joking he can be and is a very dangerous man yet his charm is overpowering and even without knowing why you trust him. Can't wait to see what new character he creates.

Same here, he is at his best when he plays the crazy wierd characters. Maybe after he does those he just doesn't seem like a serious actor, not sure. But even so he will always be a wonderful actor with loads of talent. You described him perfectly in those movies, thanks for the response. Happy Deppstering!

I love him too besides Leonardo Decaprio! Johnny Depp tends to play a lot of quirky characters like Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean and the scissor hands guy. He also played Willy Wonka from Charlie the Chocolate factory! He plays them so well! But of course he still looks as hot as ever! No matter how strange or quirky the characters he plays. He is one of my favorite actors and he will always will be. If he stars in a certain new movie, I have to go watch it first thing!

I love Johnny Depp! Haven't seen all of his movies, but have seen a lot of them. I don't know if it's just me or what, but he is sexy in every movie I've seen him in. Have you seen "From Hell"? He plays a detective on the Jack the Ripper case. Uma Thurman is in that one. Even in the most serious ones, he adds a bit of humor. He doesn't smile when he adds the humor in a serious movie, but you can tell that's what he's doing. "The Secret Window" is a good example of when he puts his humor in. I can't remember exactly what he says, but it's when he is in the post office. I love that he does movies of HIS choice. He doesn't usually do movies to boost his career. Have you seen him on "Inside The Actor's Studio" on the Bravo channel? His is so humble and seems shy. He is this way in other interviews that I've seen him in. Sometimes I wonder if it's just for show, or if it's real. Well, doesn't really matter, I love him anyway! I've seen 4 'Pirates of the Carribean' movies. Are there more than just 4? Some of his movies I don't like, but I watch them because, after all, HE is in them!

Well, I have not seen them all either. Sometimes I have seen a few only due to chance and not even meaning to, etc. I try to think of him as eccentric to a fault, he amuses me no what what kind of movie he does. He rarely appears on talk shows, etc. I guess he doesn't like talking about himself, much. He doesn't have to promote himself much though, he's still very successful. I like the fact he stays away from Hollywierd due to some of the bad influences it has if you let yourself get caught up in it. He does eem very shy and reserved, and thats another quality I love about him, he's not the typical big headed romeo who thinks he can get any woman in H. wrapped around his finger, etc. I don't even recall how many of the Pirate movies there are now of his, and never seen him on Bravo's "Inside the Actor's Studio" unfortunately.

Oh I loved Edward Scissorhands, I had trouble understanding it the first time so had to go and see it again and by then I thought it was alittle better than the first time I saw it. Then there is the other one when they're in a candy factory, really fun movie!
