How do you use facebook, do you realize most people are using facebook like a electronic diary where they share everything on the wall.
Personally, i use facebook to communcicate with my friends and comment on their activities too sometimes, but my wall is full with so many things i read and then i will share it with my friend.
what on your wall fellas?

Facebook is definitely NOT my diary. I somewhat dislike when people mistake it for one. Some people will post the weirdest, most mundane things on Facebook. IE: "I have a headache!" or "I'm hungry" or "I'm really pissed off!" I really really dislike this. I wish people would post less things about their every day life. I like using it to communicate and keep in touch with friends & family, and post some funny stories or things that happen to me. That's it! I think some people overuse it.

I definitely don't use faacebook as my diary or to post daily routine of my life. I only use it to communicate with my friends or to share and post pictures with family and friends. Facebook is a nice way to stay in touch with people you know but I personally don't think it should be used as a diary though

I probably don't qualify for this post because I don't have a Facebook, but I know plenty of people who do and they tell the world their life story. They really make themslves look like fools. Social networking is great--if you are adult enough to handle yourself like a mature adult.

I use facebook as a means of communication with my friends, family, etc. I also use it sometimes for playing games. I don't use it as my online diary. Honestly speaking, I find it annoying (No offense to others who are doing this). They post there everything they do in their life - from eating their lunch, updating their cell phones apps, going home, logging out, etc. I always have this question in my mind when I see a post like that: Do we really need to know what you're doing from time to time? Dude, we don't care!
...But that's what they want to do with their facebook so I just don't mind it and I also have no control over it. :))

I use facebook for gaming and communicating with family and friends. I notice some people post stuff that their doing like every hour and that's a little to much. I don't like to post a lot about my whole life situations on face book. I try to keep it to a minimum. I mean I'll post things here and there but nothing to major. I'm sure people get sick of reading of what someone is doing with their life. I play farmville and frontierville on face book so that's what i'm on there doing the most. Half of my post on my wall are from my games i play nothing else.

Yeah, to some people it serves as their dairy. Some post status or everything day do everyday, every hour or sometimes every thing they do.For me,I don't post status that much, I just read and check status of my friends everyday.I used to comment on post or photo of my friends. It is the on of the easiest way to communicate and have updates on people that you don't see everyday or once in awhile.

No I never put some very personal matters in social network like Facebook. A diary is a log of series of important events in your life, so better keep it in a more safer and private place. Before any body could use it against you or in a bad purpose!

hi there,
I dont use FB as my diary. I use it as updates sometimes, like for my work out and some milestone pertaining to something cool. But not very personal. I am not one that likes to put my business out there, you never really know who is reading it. I put up my art work and my poetry. And sometimes a nice quote. I see others do this and often wonder why they want the world to know everything about them and every move they make. Where they are and where they are going. I just think that some things should not be told to everyone. I also like to share things that I read or a cool picture.

I'm not real excited about Facebook but do look around maybe once a month to see what others have been doing. I would prefer not to share my personal life or where I am going daily on a regular basis. I personally email my family and close friends regularly to share my information. My setting is on private but I also know most, if not all, sites can be hacked. The last time I had a diary was when I was a kid. Good discussion here.

It was designed that it would be like a diary of your life. In my understanding it would somehow be like the book of your life on the virtual world. I believe mine is more like a diary, because of the pictures that was tagged on my account by my friends, even if i don't upload pictures, i am always been tagged by any activity with my friends and office mates, so its like a monitored life. But i don't post any statements on my wall on any of my activity or emotional condition. I still want to maintain the sense of privacy.

Facebook has different meaning for different people most of them are using them as personal communication where they share things most of which are personallike of pictures and images of thier life events and the other entaitaiment of thier own. They there like to jokes and make fun with friends.
Many other person used it as bussines where they meet new person and took them to rise thier bussiness. They use it to grow buiness. It is effective way of doing.
many companies are also doing that and now it status symbol to habve so many likes that companies are ustilizing.
Few of the people are on facebook to flirt with thier opposite gender. Most of them there to meet new people and may go for date etc.
There few people like bloggers who used to promote article there. This is great way of getting traffic and hence more chances of getting real traffic to earn more from blog.
There many people who got to on facebook for playing games like farmville. I too had enjoyed those in past but now it look boring and useless to me more like time wasting.

NO. I don't consider Facebook as my diary, I prefer Twitter. The main reason that Facebook is not my diary because I can't express all of my feelings. Most of my friends and relative can read my post. I only post some quotes on my Facebook wall.

These days you can't be too careful with whom you share your details and life with online. Even if you think you're just sharing it with friends and such it can come back to haunt you later if some of the things turn out to be taken the wrong way, etc. I'm pretty much not into FB anymore especially after the latest changes.

I am not putting on facebook everything what I am doing. I simply do not like it so much, better for me is posting just really important things what happened or will hapenn. But it is up to every single person. I am not even upgrading my status every day, only sometimes. I like my privacy, and I do not need everyone from my facebook friend letting now where I am and what I am doing. But it is just my opinion. :-)

I use Facebook to stay in touch with friends and see what they are up to. A vast majority of people on my Facebook use it to complain and say things that don't need to be public. I wouldn't ever say some of the things I see on there. I also use it to share articles and videos that I find interesting.

i am using facebook as a way of communicating with my friends & relatives, I also use it to post some pictures of my recent get aways or bonding moment with my family. But I am not like those who tend to flood their walls with different quotations, videos & other staff that was not related to their self.

I share to much on my wall. I am always on Facebook either on my computer or on my phone. So I am always posting about something. My aunt actually called me out on it and asked the other day if I have a life or just live on there.
