When our local athletes lose in our long turf, we were disappointed but we are civil. I remember when a local boxer of ours lost i our country, we still treated the man who beaten him with hospitality. Maybe in Internet messageboards some Filipino fans are obsessed but not in person. If the foreign Athlete wins fair and square, he actually gets respect. A Filipino boxer defeated an Argentine boxer in Argentina and look how he was treated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKHPhlAiJHw&feature=related I dont know why some sports fans gets violent. Places were audience were this should not host a sports event.

they love the person they root for so much that they cant accept the fact that he lost and saw the person who defeated him as an enemy.

it is still competition.. And a fight one must win.. the question is WHO ... whoever was the OPPONENT was either FILIPINO or other and DEFEAT him, SO his fans will goin to behave the same . For that, they rather keep their IDOL in a BOX and never let fight if they ARE NOT PREPARE and CAN NOT ACCEPT DEFEAT..

I think there are just people who cannot accept defeat everywhere in the world, it's just that sometimes spoiled sports take it a little too far as in this case , I hope those responsible would get the due punishment for their actions. Also international governing body of the sport should also give warnings and sanctions to the promoters and the local boxing organization of that country for their poor security that could endanger peoples lives in the name of sports

The word sport is called sport for a reason and yeah those audience lack sportsmanship. I think the organizers of the match are also irresponsible, they werent able to control the crowd. their security is not that secure,

I was also shocked when i saw that clip in the news... i thought riots like that only happen during NBA, Soccer, and NBA finals... i never thought boxing could also insight such angry emotion among fans of a fighter who lost... It was not as if the Filipino boxer cheated... he won despite the fact that his opponent kinda cheated...

Hi Capt! I somehow pity Casimiro on what happened to him in Argentina. He just don't deserve it and nobody deserves such kind of treatment specially when you are just doing your job and fighting fairly. I think those people just can't accept that their supposed to be boxing hero as knocked out just like that. lol! Its like a slap on their face being defeated in their on land. Well anyway, I hope justice will be served for Casimiro and I hope that this kind of incidence won't happen again. I heard that Ana Julaton also have a fight on that place, I hope that she ill be treated fairly in case she knocked out her opponent. hat happened there is definitely lack of sportsmanship and its kinda barbaric!

You know what the irony is? There use to be an American Science fiction Book, with a Filipino Protagonist, when that book is adopted into a Hollywood movie, Hollywood is to racist to use a Filipino actor. They make the character turn into an Argetine with American accent.

I think As long as her opponent is not from the place were people cries for Evita, she will be safe. Hope you get the puns. I had witnessed many of our athletes who lost in our home turf, we never treated the opponent badly. remember when Beckham beat our soccer team, he is treated like a superstar.

Do these Argentinian fans even know what boxing is all about? It looks like they thought their player should not be hit that is probably why they are so angry Casimiro beat him so hard. The fight should have been stopped earlier but for some reason the referee let the Argentinian fight even though he was visibly shaken. If the fans want to beat up somebody that should be the referee. I think the Argentina boxing association or whatever they call their boxing groups there should explain why this happened which endangered the life of our Filipino team especially Casimiro. If they cannot then future fights there should be suspended until they can provide for the safety of foreign boxers and teammates.

they treated casimiro like he murdered someone. Its only a game and he is treated like crap. We didnt treat our visitors like that. Remember how our people treated David Beckham and his team even if he defeated our soccer team in our home turf. Argentina have a better economy than our country, so they should be acting much more civilized.

I remember Pacquiao losing in our own country and the audience just cheered on him, we didnt attacked the guy who defeated him, in fact he is treated with hospitality and enjoyed his stay.
