mylot earnings confusion?.

February 13, 2012 1:06pm CST
Hi Mylotters, I am confused, two days ok i posted a few comments and discussions and the next day when the page refreshed i had earned about $0.15. Yesterday i posted a lot more comments on peoples discussions (granted they were shorter) but a lot more of them and i had lots of replys to my discussions. Today when i checked my balance i had only made $0.05 so why did i recieve a smaller amount when i put more effort in?. In the FAQ they basically say that the better quality the more of the reward (or thats how i interpretated it as). How do they mean better quality, do they mean in terms of length, grammatically correct or do they mean about how topical the discussions are. Also do you recieve money everytime you post a comment on someones page, do you recieve money when people comment on your discussion. If the answers are yes to some of these questions then why the low payout?. I feel like a broken record because i have posted some similar posts such as this but the FAQ doesnt seem to make it any clearier, for example will i get a slightly bigger payout because this is a longer message or is it at a standard rate. I realise that there are many questions in the post but if some Mylot diehards can please shed some light on the subject i would be most grateful. Thank you.

How you can increase your earnings and how MyLot calculate them can be found here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14 It's also worth noting that it's forbidden to discuss any attempt to guess at how the algorithm works: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

Hi friend Mylot become confusion for those who are new to this site. It is not easy to know about mylot earning within a day, weak or even a months. You should take long time to know about mylot earning and all. You should work on mylot continuously without having a huge expectation. You have to develop your way of writing skills, thoughts, reproducing contents in mylot discussion. Once you become well known about mylot, and its rules and regulations. Your earning will get increase rapidly. You don't need to consider the amount of earning initially. Simply have a lot of discussion, comments and also have a more friends as much as possible. You will get a better result for that. Mylot will looks quantity, quality, interest in your participation on discussions. I wish you will earn much and gain more knowledge here. Have a nice day.

You didn't post discussions. You posted topics for discussion If they received responses then you should have gone back and commnted on them, furthering the topic so that it then turned into an ongoing discussions. Did you do that? If you did then your earnings would have increased because that is how you would have been earning. Those who posted the responses earnt for them and they then hoped that you would return with a comment so that they could then comment back to you and earn some more. That is what a discussion on myot is all about.

Here in the FAQs myLot tell us exactly what to do: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14 You will see that they tell us to 'generate discussions' if we hope to increase our earnings.

you could be right, no i didnt go back and finish off the discussion so that could possibly be where i am going wrong. I dont think its very clear in the FAQ's and it looks like other people are having the same problem.

Hello olliekobra1, Firstly you don't earn for other's responses you earn here for your participation and others earn for their participation. Its true we are paid for quality responses and quality does not mean that the responses should lengthy or short it must be relevent and should contribute to the discussion though Mylot emphasise that our response should be descriptive. Earning algorithm of Mylot is a secret and to talk about it is against the guidelines so we must mot discuss it.

So I started this discussion off and have posted many times would mylot class these posts as descriptive?.

Look at the clock at the bottom of the page. Everything here is done using myLot's time zone and that clock tells us what time it is there. A 'day' here is based on myLot's time zone. Earnings have not updated yet and when they do, in about 9 hours from now, we will see our earnings for our activity up to midnight on that clock. We will see our earnings for our activity for the previous day. Any earnings for posts which were deleted will be deducted too. What you do after midnight will then appear when the earnings update the next time.
