I was watching an episode of Hawaii 5-O and the introduction to the island makes the island seem gorgeous and I would really like to go there if I could. Have you ever thought of going to a city/country just because of a movie or show you watched. A lot of people want to go the mythical cities like Paris and New York, they are always mentioned in movies and television shows. There are travel agents that create trips to visit the locations where shows are filmed like in Las Vegas to see where CSI is filmed. Would you ever do that?

I once read a book which gave me the idea of driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas which I later did. The trip between the two cities was a good deal more boring that the story in the book which was written by Dean Koontz. Of course in the book the people were being chased by something evil. Close Encounters of the Third Kind also inspired me to go to see Devil's Tower in Wyoming. I made the drive from Rapid City, South Dakota and once I got into Wyoming it was another boring ride. Everything was flat until I got near Devil's Tower which was rather amazing to see. I saw Mt. Rushmore on the same trip but North by Northwest had nothing to do with that.

Well burrito88 Koontz will make event the most boring scenario seem amazing well with his stories there is always something scary everywhere. I will admit that when I was younger I thought Devil's Tower was a imaginary place, only later did I find out it existed. It is on my very long long list of places I would like to see. The thing is trips are rarely exciting, and sometimes it is a huge drive and the place is a let down at least you enjoyed the visit. Mt Rushmore and the Grand Canyon are in so many movies/tv shows/books that like the Hollywood sign it is one of the places tourist flock to. One of these days ...

Devil,s Tower was the first national park in the US. In Close Encounters, Richard Dreyfus climbs it at the end of the movie and that's where the aliens return.

Hi burrito88! I do not know what is the Devil's Tower in Wyoming. I searched it online and it is beautiful. I thought there is something mysterious about it like some kind of mysterious background. But I am very interested to visit national parks than to go to bars at night hehe.

I was not drawn to the Twilight saga in that way, but I will admit that winding road in the opening sequence of the movie through the trees looks beautiful with a little tinge of foreboding it works beautifully. Hope you find all the pictures you are looking for and hopefully one day you can actually visit the location sites.

Hi tipay26! I am not a fan of Twilight but I would also love to go there. The huge trees are very beautiful. The weather seems gloomy and scary but I think that what makes the place nice. Is it where the movie shot? I thought they are just in the studio hehe.

Hi leeloo! I love watching tv series and documentary about different countries. I watched the 'Perfect Getaway' movie, I'm not sure if it was really shot at Hawaii but the place is great. I would also like to go to Paris and New York. And yes Las Vegas, I always see those casinos and hotels in CSI.
