A 5-ball over in cricket.

Though umpire did make a mistake here, it was in 20th over and in no way it could have altered result of the match. After this incident India had vital time period of 30 overs to score those runs and at that stage one ball wouldn't have made any huge difference for sure.But, if this had happened in the last over then may be it is a grave mistake and could have altered main result of the match.There need not be any unwanted discussions on this matter here as result has already been declared and it is a tie here

IT is not good to talk of a silly mistakes made by umpire. They(umpires) are human and are prone to mistakes, error done must be forgotten as one ball may have chances the match but not much as i think. Might that ball go for no runs or any thing you cna't say anything for just one ball. Any way it is not good to create hive on such a small issues as the match goes tie. INDIA would have won the match then same issue wouldn't be issue. If they would havd lost then i might see it to be more a big drama for just one ball. These mistakes can be prevented but when it is done we must accept it and don't blame other.

and they had to wait til the match finished to let know that the 30th over was a 5 ball over? i mean between the 30th and 50th over,how many times the players had drinks? why didn't none of the guys bringing in the drinks let dhoni know about the error. besides at that point in time ,that extra bal could have knocked either gambhir's or dhoni's wicket. or it would have been one of those 100 odd dot balls.

It is quiet unfortunate that the umpire called an over after five balls. This is not the first instance that the five ball over has been bowled in a match but lot of people got interested in this one because the match got so close and ended in a draw. Now a days third umpire intervenes and advises the field umpire to ball the missed ball but this time third umpire also missed that. To call that India is deprived of a win because one ball was bowled short is ridiculous because there are lot of dot balls in a match and that particular ball could have also been a dot. Other way round Malinga could have claimed a wicket of that ball and the match could have turned on its head at that stage. It is therefore better to leave that human error alone and accept the tie as the best outcome of the match.

There is lots of if and buts, but truly speaking, it would have no effects on the result of the game. Yes, it would have if it is 49 Th or 50 Th over. It could be easily a dot ball, it could be an India wicket(in that case India would have lost it) or a single run(still the match would have tied, than India has played accordingly, Dhoni had not run a cheeky single in the last over where Malinga fumbled in running out Dhoni).

What!!! I didn't watched the match but if it is true the umpire should be blamed. Or the other thing is that it might have some match fixing behind it. What do you think ?

well there will be many statements coming out in newspapers from tomorrow that was it a fixed match ? or was it intentional to earn limelight or some more masala added to it . Well everyone is shocked by this just because the match ended in a draw and ya it was seeming that the match may be fixed . what do you say mylotters ? In my opionion there was somehting wrong

It was a another nail biting Game. Each ball will move us to dip of the seat. Because of powercut i can't able to see the match, but i see the score through mobile gprs. I didn't notice that 5ball over. If it's happen so today is our Unlucky day. Otherwise the Cool Caption make another win.
