Leonardo is showing signs of recovering. Was terribly worried for awhile there, because he was lying around too much. This morning I let him out of the room and he doesn't want to go back inside. He is busy chasing the other cats around the house, and everyone is howling and growling. O, what fun! I'm glad for the activity he is getting, but now the infection has a higher chance of spreading to the other guys. Lord have mercy. Hopefully no one else will get sick.
He has been a pretty good patient. He still fights a bit when I try to put the salve in his eye. He lies still until the stuff starts coming out of the tube, then he moves. Then the stuff gets everywhere but in his eye! I wonder what I will have to go through today, since getting him into the room may prove to be difficult. Yikes!
He went in the litterbox today, and I was very happy about that since the last visit was early Saturday morning, and it is Tuesday here. He is still not eating his dry food, but loves the treats!
Have you ever had to nurse a sick pet?

Hi rose..
Its nice to hear that he is far much better than earlier and hope his all quick recovery. Beware as you have said that it may infect other cats too..
Well, i had also cat as a pet. Once a kitten was highly injured by a tom cat and had wound on his belly. Me and my sister nursed him and later he became fine and now his name is 'tom'.
have a nice time.

Awe. That is very nice of your sister and yourself to nurse the poor little cat back to health.
Cats are such frail creatures and do need our assistance.
