if the windows key is removed from the keyboard, how difficult would it be to work on MS Office products ? starting from invoking the program menu command to explore key to search to..

Not difficult at all. I don't have a windows key on my keyboard (The windows/flag key). In fact I find keyboards that have that button annoying. The program menu can be brought up with ctrl-esc key sequence and the arrow keys can be used for selecting programs through the start menu.
The mouse isn't needed either. Everything can be done without the mouse and windows key. I know because I do it frequently. Menus can all be brought up with keyboard shortcuts and the things you would normally use a mouse to do can be done with the arrow keys as well. I frequently minimize windows with the alt-space-n. The tab key comes in very handy. You have alt-tab to change applications, alt-space-m and then arrow keys allows one to move the windows where you like. Alt-space-s allows one to change size... and so on. You get the idea. If you like, it can all be done without a mouse and a keyboard that has no windows button. No big deal.

Only after reading this post did I realize, that I actually got a windows key on my keyboard. I've never used it in my life, so I don't think it's a problem to be without :-D
