i have no enough sleep because my son is sick last night. his fever has gone to 38.8 C and that made me stumbled and restless so i can't really sleep. we gave him dose of paracetamol every 4 hours and i frequently wiped his body with a wet towel to stabilize his body temperature. thank God that his body temperature dropped to 36.8 this morning. i hate to leave him at home but i have to go to work. this is one of the difficulties a working mom encounters. i hope i can already stay at home to take care of my son and be with him always, especially when he is sick.
mommies, are you a working mom like me? when was the last time your child was sick?

ur right, thats the hardest part of being a working mom. just relax when ur son is sick... having fever is normal on growing up..it makes their immune system strong as well. have urself the rules. if the fever stays for 3 days, rush him to the doctor. if the fever has vomiting, diarrhea, rashes and other things associated, go to the doctor...without these, stay calm...
See if u can change ur work with something that will give more time for your son. changes is risky but u must know ur priority. works has option. kid's health and guidance hasn't.

hi luisaR! i'm really not used to seeing my son seek because he hardly got sick. but you are right, he is just testing his immune system to get acquainted with the virus around him. thank God he is okay now and he is back to normal with recharge energy. today is his 20th month and i feel very blessed to have him in our lives.
you are right, i should not rush my decision to stay at home and leave my current full time work. i trying to find a home based work and test it first for income and stability, which i doubt can be regular but at least i will have something to do when i am at home.
thanks for the response and i appreciate it.

Hello shylade,
My wife is a housewife and this is the main reason why i don't allow my wife to do the job.I have twin kids of aged 3 years and they really need someone at home to take care of.She nicely take care of kids and i think this greater earning than she could earn from a job.May be once kids will grow up she will look for a job then.

Ya this is main difficulties which is being faced by working women, i have a doughter of 10 mnth, and i m gone through such a situation many times. keep on giving PCM to ur son, bcz PCM is a good medicine which is generally prescribed by doctor. or better to see doctor and give medicine to ur child as per doc priscription. my sympathy with ur child.

I was working and resigned to take care of my kid.Mainly due to health reasons..because it was really hard to concentrate in work when the child is sick.
Now my kid is 5 and I have again started preparing to join work..I feel now he is grown enough to eat n doing his stuffs...

i think for stay at home mommies, when her children are all grown up and they are not that require much caring, they opt to go back to work or do business. but then again you are very much lucky you have witnessed the major milestones in your kid's life. hopefully i can do it with my second child. thanks for sharing dear.

Hiya shy,
Mine have been sick one more than the other and I had to go to work too as well. However with the youngest I had to stop working for months because I was mostly in the Doctor´s Surgery at least twice a Week with him.
He was very young but I changed Doctors they changed his treatment and everything started to get much better after that.
It was a good thing for both of us really as the strain of sleepless nights was telling on me as well.
Glad your little Boy is back to normal now those things happen with very small Children they are ill one Day and bouncing around the next Day as if nothing ever happened.
