In my opinion, there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. This may come from having been a trainer, a helpdesk guy and in various other "service" roles but it's true: what I consider obvious may not be to someone else. And the best way to learn is to ask.
One day, you'll ask a question that you think is normal and someone else will think it's weird or dumb, I can guarantee it: we all do!

Millions of them. My favourite dumb question is when I'm looking for something I've lost and someone asks "Where did you leave it?" Well, if I knew that...

at times, i got asked, how did you find our place? of course, they wanted me to say something that they wanted to hear. but i would always reply something like, well, i found your place through a friend who referred me here. and i checked the map to see if it is here. then most of them got puzzled face of my response.

If it's on MyLot? I'll usually just ignore it and move on to the next discussion. Those dumb, one-sided questions (yes or no questions) usually get deleted in a snap anyway, because there's really no room for discussion to be had! If it's in real life, and the person knows they're asking a dumb question, I'll usually respond sarcastically... Because chances are they were asking the question sarcastically... If they really don't know the answer to the dumb question, I'll answer it...Just because i feel bad for them...LOL.

Well I have had a number of rather obvious questions asked for me. Questions that can rather be answered by a little bit of thought. That is rather something that is kind of frustrating to me to say the least. I won't say they are stupid, but they are most certainly something that is going to be devoid of a great deal of common sense to say the very least.
The thing that vexes me the most, is when people ask what I am doing, when they are staring at what in fact I am doing. There are just going to be many times where people are just really not going to be able to really just exercise any deal of common sense. I just have to shade my head in sadness at the ignorance that some people tend to exhibit.
