chaos/ a fight ensued when Johnriel Casimero knocked out the opponent- the fans of the opponent started throwing tons of stuff at him- chairs, bottles- anything. It was a shocking, scary and enraging sight...They said that Philippines cheated or fought dirtily- I don't really know if it;s true- but what i do now is that they should have controlled their emotions since people could be badly injured by what hey did..

I saw that news on TV, and it's so disappointing that those Argentine boxing enthusiasts would react that way to or boxer. It wasn't his fault that he be declared the winner. And they have fought in Argentina so, how could our fighter be accused like that.
They could have protested in a calmer manner, not punch the Philippine team members like that.

I've heard too that the same thing happened when a football matched was held in their country. Argentina vs Paraguay and their players lost the matched. I guess the word sportmanship is not in their vocabulary.

Yeah, it's really disappointing. It's a clear win as seen by the judges and another factor that adds to it is the dirty tricks tried by Lazarte to retaliate and hurt Casimero. The fight was held in their own ground, so if they are not satisfied with the judges decision they could have question it in more peaceful way.

Both the fighter and the Argentinian spectators don't know what sportmanship is. In addition, they should have been hospitable to the visitors.

I saw the video on youtube and it was very poor sportsmanship. Lazarte, from my little research is actually known for his dirty tricks and he has never changed. The Philippine boxer Casimero, in my opinion and based from what I saw, got irate from his opponents dirty play and so in turn retaliated dirty. I would not want to be a saint in such a situation too especially when my opponent plays dirty throughout the match. There were rabbit punches, lowblows and even biting from Lazarte. It must have tasted salty when he bit Watch the video on youtube, there are slowmos to point out details of the match.

Yeah, I guess Casimero got angry with Lazarte's dirty tricks so sometimes he did the same. But one thing unacceptable is when he bit Casimero. I think competition like boxing should not be allowed again in Argentina.

Yes, he bit Casimero twice, and it was very clear in the video. I would be embarassed to show my face in public if I were Lazarte but I do not think this is his first time doing it. Did you see him acting the low blow when it did not really happen? It was hilarious!

I just saw a news clip about this only a while ago. The news I heard had not mentioned the cause of the commotion, whether it was cheating or not, but whatever it was, what happened was truly very unsportsmanlike. I'm also disappointed with the promoters and organizers who allowed this thing to happen. The security protocol was very lame, if there was really one in place.

Fans became unruly because they can not accept the fact that their hometown hero had loss the fight. Lazarte, known for his dirty tricks just to win was well loved by their countrymen, so being beaten in their own country maybe is unacceptable to them. The promoters and organizers should be blamed for letting this happen.

If what you have said is a fact, I think their boxers should not compete or any of their athletes. Because if they lost in the fight they will question the decision so why bother to compete.

I have seen the fight itself I must say that is the most dirtiest fight ever since I have seen Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ear on their fight.Lazarte fought dirty and as a result Casimero himself did some tricks too to save himself from
Lazarte's antics =)) =)).But the thing here is some of Lazarte's fans went overboard and did some barbaric acts. They treated Casimero's entourage badly.I mean its just a game, they should accept defeat and not take things on their own hands.I pity Casimero's entourage because they have to face all those flying chairs, plastic water bottles and those sucker punches by fans that went crazy over their idol's defeat :( It's a shame for the Argentinians and their government as well.It only show that Argentinians are ill-mannered honestly i was angered by the incident.I remember my uncle said that whenever he saw argentinian here he would throw a punch on the argentininan's face because of anger of what they did on our fellow Filipino =)) =)).But the good thing is that he won and it shows the capability of Filipino boxers and athletes.I just wish that our government would make some additional benefits for our athletes just like what happened in Argentina whenever they would make go places to fight I think the entourage should have their own doctor and a nurse and some bodyguards too :-s for the entourage's safety , just like what Manny Pacquiao had whenever he has a fight. That was just a suggestion though to keep our athletes safe whenever they go places and participate in a tournament or something ;))

I just hope what happened in Argentina would never be repeated again in some other countries. I guess the promoters/organizers of the fight should be blamed for the said incident because they had been lax with regards to security of the entourage and not anticipated such incident just in case. I think Casimero's company were provided with bodyguards and medical staffs just like other athletes but when a disorder like this happens no one can really tell. I think the IBF had banned Lazarte in joining any boxing competition again.

I saw this on the news. And it was said that the people could not accept being defeated in the fight. Hope that in this kind of game, people are ready to accept it whether their boxer will win or not. If they feel they have been robbed, they should question the judges and not Casimero.

Yeah, the fans could have question the judges if they were not satisfied with the judgement. There are reports too that their boxer plays dirty, he even bite Casimero which is clearly seen in the video footage.

The licenses of the promoters and organizers of the fight should be revoked because of this incident. Also the IBF should do something like banning boxing competition in Argentina.

Yes, I hope the sports commission in every country should impose stricter rules regarding the safety of the participants and their company being in a foreign land.

Whether its true or not that Casimero fought dirtily which they accused of, those action should not be done, it just show lack of respect and i'ts unprofessional. We must always control ourselves in any situation we are. We can protest but not to the extent that we must hurt somebody in order to be satisfied with ourselves.

Yeah, it just shows how unruly their local fans are. They don't know the term sportsmanship is abut. The fault is also on the promoters side, because they have not anticipated that it will happen.

Yes, your right they shouldn't compete at all if they don't want to experience defeat. If that is the attitude of boxing fans in their country I think promoters of international match should look for a neutral ground for the match just to be fair with both athletes and fans.
