Hello myLotters, Do you think is cancer curable? Personally, I think no. I've seen my uncle suffering from cancer for 2 years, going on many medical treatments and operations, and he passed away finally. He doesn't deserve this. Seriously, technology is so advance nowadays, we can get hi-tech gadgets, hi-tech enjoyment, even robots, but why there's still no a medicine or treatment that is able to cure cancer? I wondering, why do scientists inventing things, rather than formulating a medicine which can cure cancer or let human live longer? What do you think? Thanks...

I think we can prevent many cancers but not all, since our air, water and food are polluted. However, we can probably keep most cancers from getting the best of us. However, we may have to drastically change our lifestyle. There is no cure since it is things we do that cause cancer.

Sorry for your uncle. I've also had family members - on both sides of the family - die from cancer recently. Anyway, to address your title question, yes it is & has been for a very long time already. Seriously, do you really think that the experts will ever want to find a cure? All the billions upon billions of dollars that have been pumped into cancer research for decades already & all those job losses - I don't think so! Anyway, the solution has been discussed by many others before, so I won't bore anyone with the details here & repeat myself. You can start your search here & continue from there: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2621111.aspx

Thanks man! I don't really think that cure for cancer will be created, even it would, it wouldn't be public. I agree with you that billions of dollars have been injected into cancer research all the while, but we still can't see any result. On the other hand, unneeded things such as cellphones, TVs, computers are getting advanced day by day. Seems like human's life are less valuable than these gadjets.

Cancer can be cured. I've met and heard a lot of people who had cancer and was cured. If it was caught early enough, you can still turn that around. There are a lot of cancer survivor stories out there. You can even search them on the internet.

Not all cancer are created equal, those that are benign are curable, while for the malignant type that was discovered at a early stage of tumor formation is also treatable with various methods. It also depend a lot on the patient own immune system and wills to fight the disease after being diagnosed with this bad news, it is just difficult to say in definite term cancer is curable or not, each case is different than the other. The outlook for medical advancement in treating more type of cancers is promising and you shouldn't lose faith on that. There is no one silver bullet in cancer treatment so far and it will never be, but progress had been made over the past decade where certain type of cancer is curable now while other remain stubornly hard to prognosticate and receive treatment.

Hey man, I'm trying not to lose faith but look, people dying due to cancer and various diseases, it happens so fast and frequent. For example, my uncle, who was sent for tumor operation never wake up again when he came out from the operation room... I really am confused, for me, it seems like doctors & surgeons just didn't do a good job.

Yes, cancer is curable. It's all about the diet! There are two cancer institutes. One is in Mexico "Gerson therapy" and has been around since the 1930's. The USA is not allowed to discuss nutrition therapy for cancer treatment, because there is no money in it. USA the unhealthiest country in the world spends the most on medical and only 6% on food, the least amount in all countries. Medical Dr's are not allowed to discuss this therapy at all, but check it out. Also check out the Hippocrates institute in Florida.

When the cancer is benign no need to worry, because it won't migrate to metastasize. You need to worry if the cancer is malignant. It will multiply and you won't be able to stop from migrating to other parts. Chemo, and radiation option are only for slowing the growing of cancer. Many doctors and even scientist been trying to find a medication for cancers. This is a very complicated thing to experiment, coz we need to consider the other parts of the body which is not affected. The thing is everything, I mean organs in our body is connected. It is a very tricky process.

I think treatments like Chemo & radiation bring a lot of side effects to a patient, even though they helps a little. I would say my uncle was getting weaker and weaker due to this chemo & radiation.

With our technology and science knowledge, we can't cure cancer effectively nowadays. But, I think in the near future, we definitely would have such technology to make cancer curable. My aunt also die of cancer a few years ago, and she had been through a lot. We just keep our hope high that someday, human beings won't no longer fear cancer.

I do think that eventually, there will be a cure for cancer. There might not be any for sure once now, but there ARE ways to get rid of it. I had a really close friend in high school that was diagnosed with a rare type of leukemia and with enough chemo and radiation, they were able to cure her of it and she has been cancer free for 8 years now! It's amazing! This was all in thanks to St. Judes Research Hospital in Memphis TN!

yes it always depend on the severity or the extent of metastasis of the cancer cells.. If it affects vital organs then the more it is dangerous.

This kind of question can be solved depending on what stage the cancer was detected. A cancer can be cured if the cancer cells haven't metastasized, Early detection of cancer is better to prolong one's life. There have been many reports of people who was able to survive when it comes to fighting cancer.

Cancer nowadays can be curable but it depends on what stage cancer cells have grown on the tissues of the cancer victim. I know some who are into stage 4 yet able to survive while those who are still in stage 2 have deteriorated fast and expired early than expected. Lifestyle is the number one issue to consider, especially on the patient's diet. If one is not careful about his diet, would still eat a lot of meat, takes dairy foods, has oily foods everyday, no amount of chemotherapy would help cure the person.

Hi, it depends on the stage and type of the cancer. Yes, certain types of cancer are curable and few are not. Still researches are going on and hopefully one day we shall find the medicine for cancer and live happily ever after!

If its already cancerous, then am sure it could no longer be cured.Thats Gods will, if patient will be cured from cancer. As what we know, that cancer can not be cured unless God will make u well....Nothing is impossible from God..........
