I am not a shopper.....my mother was....my father was....I however don't really enjoy it unless I am going for something specific. I can see how it is in someone's dna like drinking etc...my sisters and I have alot in common just being from the same family....same DNA or close anyway.

I am not a shopper either now that I am not working, however
when I was working all those years, I truly liked to go shoppiing
any time and any place...
It did not come from anyone in my immediate family...they never
had money to be shopolic...so I would really had to see this report.
But if it dosen't show soon I will still miss it...We are going'to
to dinner at 5:45 and I hope its repeated tonight on the 11:00
news.

It might not be called the shopping gene, but yes we have our compulsions programmed into us, I believe. We have anxieties that occur and those anxieties are relieved by whatever compulsion we have. For some it is shopping, for some it is compulsive eating, and for some it is washing their hands and so on. We do the behaviors that seem to comfort us.

Hi I don't think I am a shopaholic but I love shopping . I am careful when I go for shopping but I never cross my limits . I believe in the dictum " cut your coat according to your cloth " so I stick to my budget . But I don't know whether it is my DNA but I go for shopping whenever I feel the need to shop and my mom often shops sometimes unnecessarily and my father is a sensible person but shops very less as we are there to help him .
Good luck ![](/Content/images/emotes/thumbup.gif)

I love shopping, my mom loves it too. But it seems it's just me and her only. My grandma doesn't like it. We love to shop but mostly it's just for important stuff, and when we only have extra money to do that.![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

Can you plz name the channel?
I think, the answer to your question is a "No".
I like to shop while my mother and father don't.But at the same time, i shop when we have money and only when the situation necessitates it.Otherwise i quit.Shopping for fun was never in my DNA.

I am not sure if it is part of our DNA but it can be part of our upbringing I think, I remember when I was a little girl my mother used to take me and my sister in to town a lot to the sales and I think because of this it has become part of what I like doing myself, I love shopping so I think it is part of my learning from an early age.

I don't tihink this behavior can be past down from our parents,it must be related to the environment around us,for example, our friends's hobbies affect us so much,if they all like shopping, you will be like them gragually. In addition,I think loving shopping is most women's nature character,so we can regard all they inherit this feature from their mom, haha.
