Sri Lanka made a short work of Australia in the rain affected sixth match of commonwealth bank cricket tri series being played at Sydney, Australia. Winning the toss and electing to bat, Australia were reduced to 88 for 6 in 26 overs before rain interrupted play. The match was reduced to 41 overs a side due to loss of playing time due to rain. On resumption Australia lost further grounds and were all out for 158 in 40.5 overs thanks to David Hussey who played well for his 58. Australia is captained by Ricky Ponting in absence of Michael Clark who is injured. This is the best chance for Sri Lanka to record their first win in the tri series. How far they succeed in getting this target of just 159 in 41 overs remains to be seen.

SL played their best cricket...no doubt, not only their bowling came good but they batted really well to ensure that they receive an additional bonus point...they were simply better in all the departments against the Aussies, for whom this game should be an eye opener having lost the last 2 matches..
this match could have been even worse for the aussies, had the lankans not dropped couple of catches...all said they were far better...tri series is going to get interesting now.

Yes dear today was Sri Lanka's day. They didn't give a single chance to Aussies which seems to be a plus point for Srilankan team after having a bad performance against Pakistan and South Africa in recent times. It seems like their teams is united in this particular series.
