Do you have such habit downloading the game from internet.

well I do it many time but for only softwares, songs, movie and downloading sites. and net also use another purpose too like assignment search, office work, etc.

Hi fanta I also used internet for this stuff. But not only for this. I have many other works too and mylotting is one of them. Yes many people using internet for only this purpose and specially children. My younger brother only using internet for downloading music. He only come online for this purpose.

I am not doing that anymore, there are too many spywares and malwares come with the game and song. It is making my computer slower and sometimes crash each time i install the download. I had enough of this nonsense. From today onward, i want to keep my computer free of junk and clean, stop all these download immediately.

i know that most of the children are using internet only for downloading or playing games, songs or movies, bt i think it's not a bad habit, bcoz they also learning how to work on net or computer. it's help them to increase knowledge about computer or software applications....

There are different types of people and they had diffrent chocies and as per thier chocie they used to do their works. So this is true for children and as usual most of the children are habitual to playing games and it is all what they want. FOr this they can do whatever they want. If they are downloading and playing gsmes then they are doing good and it is normal things. But if they are continuously doing the same and not concentrating on the study and other things then it is bad. So my thought is all things playing and other must be done at time when needed and all time.

hmm partially agreed that it's wastage of time behind downloading games/songs.. but at the same time they are learning something.. how to download from net.. search techniques which they can use further.. everything has a positive side. you know most wastage thing I feel is to chat with a fake person... then to I had habit to chat with anyone but it made my english and geographical knowledge better. :-) you can say lol but it's true.. currently I don't like to download games/songs from net.. movie hmm yeah I do download sometimes and softwares..

I don't play games on computers either. The only games I play are fitness ones on a Wii. Mostly I use my computer for business matters and for e-mailing friends and working with facebook and myLot. _Derek

Thank goodness I don't have children [ they are all grown up] but they would not be using my computer for games or whatever my PC is for my personal use...if I did have children I would make sure they have their own PC...but under my supervision according to their age.

I don't really download anything from the internet! Not to sound boring! The only games I've ever played online are ones that come on the computer, OR I go to Pogo.com and occasionally play Cribbage or Spades. I don't think I would TRUST any website's security enough to download anything from it.

Hello, Children like to play.Childhood is age of playing. I think nothing is wrong in it if they download games songs and pictures. About me I like watch movies so when I have time I download movies from internet. It is also use of internet.

I download a lot of games, a lot of tv shows, movies, and music, and I've never gotten a virus doing it because I'm careful about how I go about doing it. I don't think that it's a bad habit either. It's just one of the many uses I have for this computer. I also do schoolwork on it, use MyLot, Facebook, and other various things. I think that people need to be more careful about how they download things online for sure, but I don't think that it's a horrible habit at all.

I used to download a lot of stuff on my desktop computer. I stopped because I got a virus. I have a laptop now and rarely download things from the internet. I only play online games nowadays that are created in Flash. I deal with less issues this way. I hate when you download something and it doesn't run properly. I also hate when you have to download extra stuff for the main stuff to work. I just save myself the trouble and only download the necessities.

I have that habit. I enjoy downloading many things from various sites and friends. But I myself do not consider it a complete waste of time. Playing online games for long hours is an issue! But watching movies or downloading music from itunes is a nice form of entertainment.

My initial thought was that childhood is for playing games. Kids these days should play more because they grow up too soon, become serious too soon with school and studies and such. As for viruses, there are ways of protecting our machinery from malware and it is easy. I'm middle aged and I spend a lot of time playing Neopets. It's very safe, I've been playing for 10 years at this site and I have never had a problem. Cheers.

I am 15 going on 16 years old. I play a lot of video games, sims 2 and I used to play sims 3. I have moods where I play a lot for a couple weeks, even a mounth! But sometimes I skip even a half of a year playing. I feel it is very unsafe for your children to download games online, because there are website that attach a virus in the package file. The games that are downloaded may contain, malware, spyware, trojans, and even a virus. These are all bad for your computer. You may have malware and hidden files that you don't even know about. I suggest that everyone only download something if it is from a CD disk. There are some trusted websites that I have used to download custom content for my game in the past I don't use them anymore. Teach your children that they need your permission to download something. If you don't want them downloading stuff tell them straight out. There has been times when a child downloads a game and then the computer crashes. I have malware on my computer and it is litterly impossible to get rid of once you have it. Not even a computer repair guy can get rid of it. It is a locked file, some are hidden, it spys on you and names files after your other folders. Malware slowly kills your computer and crashes the memory system by repeatidly adding files until your computer cannot take it anymore. To prevent this, get anti-spyware and always, always know what your kids are downloading. I do suggest you don't let them download games, or movies. Esspecially free ones. Music can be ok. I would be more concerned about games and movies. That is a very risky thing to do. Good luck to you and I hope I gave you some good advice! :)

I hate the online game but like offline game like badminton, chess, wollyball etc. but not like Computer game. You are right now children are more interested to playing the Computer game but this is effects on their study.

I believe that for children there is already the opportunity to enjoy the game without having to download them. Think for example the playstation or other console ready to use. Even once I had fun with the games I download a program called MAME, then I completely lost my enthusiasm. Now I just play browser games on the network and free.

Hello Fanta, My kids are too small to play video games and i don't play online games as i too feel it a waste of time but i do download latest or old songs from net whenever i like any song as these are readily available on net.No doubt internet can be used anyways and is the necessacity of all people irrespective of their age.Children do like to download games as they find it a good method of enjoyment.

As long as you don't play allday, no real harm can come to you. Playing an hour a day at most can alsso benefit you, if you enjoy it, because you can relax. Maybe when you were of them age you done the same, or maybe not :). Anyways,not that A.C.T.A. is inevitably getting signed in most countries around the world, they will not be able to do so, so I guess it will be again as it was when our parents were children. I a way I regret that is going to happen to the Internet, because we will be deprived of a great help in our lifes, but also, it would make it easier for us to start a real social life.
