. . .i used to be like that. By the way. Most of group messages are sent just for fun. Rarely friends send group messages to inform. . .

Group messages are pretty popular among teens like us. I was even addicted on sending group messages before but I have grown out of it eventually. In my case, I would only reply to a group message if there is a part of it that is addressed to me. Otherwise I would not.

A year back or so in India, SMS sending use to be cheaper --on payment of lump sum like Rs.49 or so. We use to send messages freely. "Started". "Come to bus stand"--now sms is charged at Rs.1 or Rs.0.75. So I call people and talk for five or ten seconds and communicate. This works out cheaper.

Well that's good for you since I think speaking to people through our phones are better than sending text messages since we can also express our emotions through our voices. There are a lot of times when my text messages got misinterpreted by people. They think I was angry but I was not.

sms messaging is much cheaper than calling. But there are promos that makes calling cheaper or maybe equal than sms. And also you can hide your true emotions if you use sms other than calling or thru your voice.

I reply any message with another group message to the entire group. Also forward the same message to other groups. Have got free sms daily at Rs 0.60/per day. What better way to do then spread some joy around. I believe sms convey simple messages that keep you connected. Every time a person reads the sender's name in the message and even if he deletes the message he knows that he now belongs to the special group you want to remain connected with. In short scientifically a person can only keep 30 friends at a time and sending that group message back reminds him that you both are friends with each other and make each others fortune 30 list.

LOL! I would probably do the same as you and not reply. Yeah if it says to send to 10 people or so and be sure to send back to them, I usually just send it back to them and let the silly stuff go. And I know on Holidays that some send Happy Holiday messages to every one in their phone, so I don't feel as special as I would if they just picked me up, but they are still thoughtful.

you are YOUNG. You get a lot of msgs from your friends like this. Normally we elderly paople will get messsages occasionally. If I get one I will acknowledge.
Normally I acknowlege all emails received from friends and relatives.
Children should learn to use cell phone aptly and not overuse or underuse the same.
Which class are you studying?

When i get group messages i wont reply because it goes to all the people that the group message was sent to and i dont need everyone seeing what im going to reply with, not everyoens business and i might not know who everyone is in the first place.
Now i might just go to my contacts and get the person taht sent it to me and reply to that person itself but not going to respond to a group message at all there kind of annoying anyways.
