Puppies just appear soooo cute to me. I always seem to ogle whenever I see a cute, strutting one at the mall when owners take them for a walk. They are just so adorable!!! ._

I know. Dogs are adorable when they are little and loving and caring after they grow up.
Here are some interestinf facts about dogs that I have found out on the Internet:
Puppies do not open eyes until they are a few weeks old.
Dogs have twice as many muscles for moving ears than humans.
Dalmatians are born white.
The first living creature sent into space was a dog called Laika (which I believe is pure cruelty, because the dog was not trained to fly the spaceship back :( )

I always dreamed about getting a pet dog. When I was a child my family had cats which were lovely. In my twenties I knew with traveling overseas, going to university and working as a full time teacher my life wasn't ideal for dog ownership. I bought my cottage when I was nineteen years old. I owned it for fourteen years. The year before I sold my cottage I got my first dog, Secret, a white and black patched miniature poodle. I moved to a different area to a house next to lots of wonderful doggy walks. A year later I got my second dog, Magic, a black miniature poodle. I work part time and have lots of time at home. I have children and they too love the dogs. I know my thirties are ideal for owning dogs. Good luck when you are older and your life becomes more suitable for having a dog.

Wah, that's great! I'll definitely be looking forward to the time when my life becomes fitted enough for having a dog. Hearing about your story, it's getting me excited! I'd love to meet a dog as adorable as the one in the pet shop years ago when the time comes. :))

I have a dog, a little dog, shes still a puppy, shes almost one year old though. Shes a Boston/Rat terrier mix. I love my dog shes pretty cool. Shes obedient. We're not doing great with money either. Its not as bad as your picturing. Feeding my dog is very cheap because she is little. Also, as far as toys go, I buy them from the dollar store and I have toys from dogs I used to have. My dog has her shots, rabies and distemper. I put her on heartworm meds in the mosquitoe season. I have lots of time for her. Neither of us work. If you ever get a dog and you are more of a busy person, consider an easy breed. I am very experienced when it comes to dogs. They are my life joy. A little dog you can feed easier, and they don't require so much exersize. If you do ever get a dog, these are some characteristics you should look into in a breed. Does it bark a lot? Is it independent? Is it easy to train? Is it snappy? Is it obedient? What type of health problems? if any. Dogs have all sorts of diffrent personalities. Personally, toy poodles aren't the best, Minis are not bad, Standards are great. I think that Boston terriers are great dogs too. Hopefully you can get a dog someday. And take my advice, match up the characteristics and size of a dog you want. I suggest you find a reputable breeder. Adopting a dog is to complicated because they are to pickey (landlord info, home visit, follow ups, high fee ect)..

oh, too bad! I can see you really want a puppy but can't for several reasons. I have a dog and cat at home and I can tell your they are like children. You need to provide, feed, and keep them healthy. Having a pet is a big responsibility. But I got to admit, the joys of having pets are much greater than the sacrifices.

IKR? That's why I have to hurry up and be a millionaire so that I can get at least one. And I'll love her dearly. ^_^

puppies can be so cute and adorable especially if they are playful and friendly to us..you are right, it would be hard to get a puppy for you this time, we must be able to have time and money to take care of a pet dog or puppy..to take them to the vet and their food..it is also very costly..

Yah, and for their meals, you have to take into consideration what's bad for them to eat. It takes a lot of time and effort to care for them, but I still would like to have one if I have enough/extra expenses. They are just too adorable! .

It can be difficult to continue to say 'no' to a puppy when they're staring straight up at you with those adorable eyes. Perhaps it might be an idea for you to volunteer at your local shelter where you can share all the love you have for dogs with those who need it most, without the financial, time and housing commitments that come with one of your own?

That's a great suggestion. :) However, I think we still don't have those kinds of institutions here, or if we have, I haven't heard of them yet... ^^

Where are you living? Surely there's got to be a rescue, even if it's not an official SPCA that is in your area and could do with help walking and washing the dogs. I hope you can find somewhere :)

I want to introduce to you Odie. I bought him so that my old dog who is already 8yrs old could have a mate and have a family. And your true about that keeping dogs is like taking care of a new born baby. Specially when they have babies of their own whew I don't know what to do.They have 3 kids. Until finally I decided to sell them. They give us joy they make me feel happy specially when they are all playing with their mom and dad. It is hard for me to do specially I'm the one who help their mom when they are being delivered. But I can't keep them all, I know someone will love them and can take care of them also the way I love them. Also Odie and Whoppie is still with me.
