I was given an iPhone 4s as a gift from my boss. I have only ever owned one apple product previously, an iPod Nano, and although I ended up loving the iPhone, I would never have paid for it myself. It's a great gadget, but way overpriced.

I personally do not care too much about the iPhone. To me all smartphones seem to do the same thing. i do believe that the iPhone cost way too much and then when you get one you have to get a special protective cover so that you will not break it and that cost about 60 bucks which is ridiculous for a cover. So overall you will be spending more money with the iPhone. And another thing, I am not to fond with having a fully touch screen phone.

Not all smartphones do the same thing. For example, the Lumia 800 has a beautiful interface, gorgeous hardware, and many more features. Also, its made by Nokia and nearly unbreakable. (I dropped mine down 2 flights of stairs and not a scratch! No case or screen protectors!)

Hi ibinissac,
Personally I think the iphone is one of the greatest mobile device ever invented. I do not own one and would very much like to get one. However, I feel it's way overpriced so I'm using another brand. Perhaps if and when the price drops down to a more 'realistic' level will I consider buying one.

I own an iphone..
I am crazy about phones..
Iphone was my dream phone when I was studying..
But now I am thinking that many other companies give phones with more facilities and for cheaper prize..
So are we paying only for the brand name applee..?

Dear
I am writing on a iPhone right now.It depends whether or not it is worth the money. There are other phones out there that have better specs and reviews on the iPhone (example the samsung galaxy note ) I have an iPhone 4 running AT&T and I can admit its a pretty cool phone. It has nice specs and the design is pretty good.if you are going to get an iPhone though I suggest you wait to July to late fall because the iPhone 5 might be coming out.

There are things which are good to buy and others which are need to buy. So depending on the kind of funds you have, that shoud answer you question. As an I phone costs quite a bomb.
