I have waited for almost 2 years now to complete and fixed my papers to Canada as immigrant. My husband submitted my papers only last November and last Jan 27, I already received my passport request from Canadian embassy. My husband told me to shop my things already but I am a little hesitant. I don't wanna be disappointed again,I don't expect much that it would be soon since i am waiting and expecting that "soon" already for 2 years now. What do you think?

Well you know it is not so easy fixing papers going to Canada. My mom's friend waited for long years to. It was only last year when their whole family immigrated there. She bought a couple of new things too and even wanted to bring cooking stuff She was thinking it was too costly there so he thought of buying new stuff to bring rather than buy there. But as you know it is not so advisable bringing all stuff. Just try to bring the necessary stuff and clothes with you - Try to do that when you got the papers all ready with you.

For me, no need to buy new things like clothes and etc. What u have ,are all ok..But if ever u really want it that all ur things be new, then u buy it..Its ur own choice to decide ...If u have extra money, then go for shopping and be ready for ur wonderful trip...happy and have a good trip.

I think you should follow him buying things to be prepared is much better than going without anything with you, besides there are country that you cannot buy low priced, i think I can recommend you to buy in delivery basis with this one you can assure the quality of things you are going to buy check out this site http://cafepress.com/m2jars, hope it helps you ^^

I think you should wait until all your papers are ready and you know for sure that your application has been accepted and that you'll be going to Canada. Even then you should only buy what is necessary for you. I wouldn't buy a lot of stuff if I were you. Buy only what you really need but at the end it is really your choice so you decide what is best for you. However, before shopping you should wait until your papers are ready

You are right to be a little hesitant because my haven't got your visa yet and booked your flight. It sounds like you are nearly at that stage in fixing your papers as a immigrant to Canada. I know that you are going to love moving to Canada as a permanent resident. Good luck with moving to Canada. As soon as you are one week away moving to Canada you could buy a few new clothes. For now you could get any clothes that are in a sale and super cheap. I traveled to Vancouver two years ago and had a fantastic time.
