how to know which of my friend is online in mylot ?

Yes it is complety can't tell - the profile, about user whether he is online. But applying some sense one can judge about it. Most of the user stick to post many replies, response and discussion so by that one can guess about the online presenece but it might not alway work. You are right if one mylotter want to know whther his friends are online then they migh use any of the messenger or chat and from there they need to interact and know ablout thier online presence at the moment. Question here is also that many of us didn't want to give our email or messger as we didn't want to show ourself and remain hide on muylot so this i think will not work. Most of the user will not GIVE thier IM.

It is up to the individual whether they want to be available for Instant Messaging or 'chat'. Facebook has the facility to allow it or not, as the individual decides. I think that MyLot is wise not to have any function which shows whether someone is online or not because it is NOT a 'chat' site but a place where one is expected to consider what one says before posting because that tends to encourage a better quality participation. Whatever anyone likes to think, the 'social networking' side of MyLot is secondary and subordinate to the business of discussion. The fact that we can't see whether someone is online or not is one of the advantages of MyLot.
