Can sharks chase you up the beach?

I read on a website the other day that a Grandmother was walking her Grandchild along the beach when she saw a grey "torpedo" like object streak through the water, then skid up on the beach and attempt to attack. Apparently then while they continued along the beach more sharks beached themselves in an apparent attempt to bite the scared Grandmother and child. You will think I am dreaming, so here is the link http://www.tellmewhereonearth.com/Web%20Pages/Sharks/Sharks_Page_11.htm The question is how could this possibly be true? If it is true do you still think it is safe to walk along a beach?

Thankyou for your comment, it is certainly something that would have to be seen to be truely believed, and not many people are brave enough to calmly take a photo when a sharp toothed fish is chasing after you.

Well maybe it is true, if a stingray can fly out of the water and stab a grandfather in the chest, it does not seem unreasonable that a shark could flip flap its way up the beach in pursuit of a grandmother. I think that it is revenge of the sea creatures!
