I just started to work for Avon. I am putting a lot of time and effort into it. I just bought new business cards and everything. I am trying to find a few ways to make customers online as well! I find this can help me still earn some revenue and give my customers discounts. I wont lie I believe in the product and even buy some things myself. I think the only down fall I have found so far is no gift cards. I think that would be a good investment for Avon customers. Gift cards are always nice!

I don't but anything on Avon unless I want to. I started Avon because several individuals I knew wanted it. I really think that if I work with persistence that it pays for what I do order and then some.

You definitely should use online marketing also. When you're in the direct selling business, you really have to reach for the customers and one quick way to do so is building your network on the net. It doesn't have to be that all of them would buy your products, but people are really great sources of leads to other people who may be willing to buy your product. Avon's a known brand so that's one advantage going for you. You don't need to exert too much effort selling the brand so you can now focus more on selling the product.

I really do believe in the product, if there are any flaws they are willing to take back the product and replace it. I find that to be very reliable than before because the representatives used to have to pay for it. I think this shows that they believe in their products as well.

I have thought about selling avon, but I am not sure if I would do well because of the economy. I had a friend who used to sell avon and I used to buy from her whenever I had the extra money. Now I live in Nevada (near Las Vegas) and I am not sure if I would make a lot of sales. I wish you the best of luck.

I think the main thing to help with avon is getting out and getting the word out. Instead of ordering just brochures, I put in a little extra money for business cards and fliers for houses. I think it is all about making it work for you. I make it work for me and it is turning out pretty good. I don't have alot of people but I do have more than none. lol

Avon is considered a really good product. Their jewelry is very collectible. I like that they grow, evolve, change and adapt. They are always improving and adding to their product line.
I have tried my hand at being a representative some years back but did not have much luck. Some representatives do real well. I have recently read that Avon is losing a lot of their reps but did not read further as to find out the causes.
Post your business card on any bulletin board that you think might be useful. Also, have a yard sale and have your business card and Avon booklet available along with samples.

Oh yeah I have already thought of that. My mother works on crafts and this summer, I plan on setting out with her so I planned on using this to my advantage to help with avon.

I love some kinds of Avon, the bottles of perfume are sometimes considered collectible in some shapes and scents. I still have a silver tone bracelet I bought years ago from my Aunt's friend. It's just been so long since I have seen an Avon booklet. I agree about the giftcards, they are always a good business incentive. Maybe you could suggest it to them and they will eventually get your idea going.

lol! I like avon collectibles, I am always finding people selling them in yard sales. And yes! I have already made a suggestion to see if maybe it could be an option.

Thanks me too! I have been selling forever and a perfume (hakiu) or something like that to several customers. So they must be pretty good!
