A dream that sets my mood

I had a dream last night and Hubby and I got into a fight over money, he wanted to give our savings to charity and I tore up the check. He made me so mad over the whole thing that I was still mad at him when I got up. What is really funny is I am the one who gives and he is the one who doesn't want to. If this mood after a dream happens to you how long does it take you to get over it? I told him about the dream and that seemed to help, after he got through laughing

You sometimes dream the opposite of what you live, it is common. Personally, it is just a dream and to be still mad at him after that is kind of normal but then you have to think and say, it wasn't real, it was just a dream. Should I really be mad at something he never even did? Then just laugh it off like he did.

I have had dreams where it took me about an hour to get out of the set mood. My b/f has had mood setting dreams where he was mad at me for an hour or more. Not mean mad but just irritated mad.

Thanks savypat! I hate those bad mood dreams. I would like to experience a few uplifting ones for sure.

It often takes me about two cups of coffee and some sunshine to get over a dream like that. So let's just say I am goofy until noon. Having one of those dreams just feels really strange.

I've experienced this many times, that a dream influences how a day will proceed when I wake up. In fact, I sometimes dream of a way to solve a problem. Or sometimes, of an idea for a project or something. It must be a genius buried deep in my sub conscious and surfaces when I'm asleep.

That has never happened to me. I remember when I was married my wife dreamed like that and got mad at me for something she dreamed. One time she was real mad, so I turned around and started an argument over her attitude. I told her that it was a dream, not real life. And I also told her, after I started the argument, to go and argue with herself. I had to go to work and I had no time to play games over a dream.
