I'm starting this discussion, because I've been thinking.I've had a few friends that lost their mother. The one friend I have her mother passed away from lung cancer and emphasema. She took care of her mother to the end. I think people should think more of their mother and spend time with them before anything like this happens.I haven't got along with my mother, pretty much most of my life. But recently I thought,I better show appreciation, and forget about whether we get along ornot.my mother is up in her 60's and I know she won't live forever. God said in the Bible to honor your parents and you will have long life...

Hi Java: Oh you are completely right. Sometimes we forget that life is so short and the ones that we have here may pass away. There's nothing like mother's love. I appreciate the work from my mother. She has blessed me during my whole existence and I simply thank God for her presence and that she cares so much for me. ALVARO

People should be nice to others before anything was to happen to them, then it's too late.Time goes so quick.

Yes I think it is human nature to think we are here for ever and our loved ones will always be there, and for most people we don't wake up until they are gone, and this is for everyone that is special in our lives, appreciate and let them know.

I really agree with you on this. I think most of us seldom show our appreciation to what our mothers have done or is doing for us, the sacrifices they've made to raise us the way we are today. And yes, it doesn't matter whether we got along with her when we were young. Most mothers have their own different ways of caring for us, Some may be harsh, other sweet and caring, but I still believe that deep down they had done it because they love us so much. I'm now a parent and I really realize that it's really not a walk in the park to raise children whether you're a mom or dad :)
