Movie Review: Ghost Rider 2 - Sprite of Vengence

I was all excited to watch the Ghost Rider 2 over the weekend because the first movie was so good in bringing the comic character to life! Nicholas Cage reprises his role as the Ghost Rider. But I was so disappointed when I left the cinema after splurging $15 on a ticket to watch it in 3D! Let me get to the summary of the story first: The ghost rider must save the devils' son in order not to let the devil taint his (the son's) character to do evil. That's it. That is what the whole show is about! My review? Well, if this was the first movie, I would wait for the DVD release for the second movie just for the sake of following up on the Ghost Rider story. First of all, the bike is no longer the one that was shown in the first movie. Nothing special about it, other than the fiery wheels. Nicholas Cage did a terrible job as the ghost rider for this movie! His acting was so corny! The other actors and actresses actually did a better job than he did in the movie! And the portrayal of the Ghost Rider, made him look like a zombie with a crown of fire for hair. In the movie, the Ghost Rider looked more like a spoilt brat throwing a tantrum more than an anti-hero out for vengeance. I was utterly disappointed with the movie. Especially the story line! If you are in for the CG, this movie has some really good CG rendered. The Ghost Rider looked gritter than the first. But if you are going to watch this movie expecting it to be better than the first, forget it. Wait for the DVD!
