Is Eden Hazard the Solution to Arsenal Woes?

I don't understand why Arsene Wenger seems to have soft spot for players who play in Ligue 1, the French leage. He has been quoted of having interest in Lille player, Eden Hazard. Hazard is a striker and I was able to watch him play over the weekend. For me, although it is difficult to use a single game to rate a player, I wasn't impressed with what I saw.
One knows that a couple of other premiership teams are monitoring the progress of Hazard and are believed to be interested in him. What is your own opinion about Hazard moving to the premiership. Assuming he moves to Arsenal, do you think he is the solution the team needs? For me, I'm not so sure. In fact, one prefers that Wenger looks elsewhere for Arsenal's saviour. My best bet is, maybe, the Portuguese league. The league has improved a lot.

Arsenal needs more than just Hazard to arrest their slide. They need a strike partner for RVP, a creative midfield, a physical and dominating midfield destroyer, a powerful central back and a back up on left back. They are just lacking in so many departments. As for the soft spot for the French league, first he is a french. Second, credit to the league, there are some good players plying their trade there. And thirdly, those in that league will cost less than say one from the La Liga, Serie A or worse, the BPL.

I think there is no problem if Eden Hazard moves to Arsenal, I believe he can perform and help Arsenal. Somehow, his moving is not enough, Arsenal need to invest in the defense, very much, I hope. Arsenal is really struggling these days in BPL, but they are playing their football; yet, there is a particular team out there, having 'sir' as the manager, always have so much influence on the FA, the referees, and able to play the games with continuous supply of penalties...

My tongue in cheek comment would be that I would not Hazard a guess. :) For the last five seasons we have been talking about players who could be the solution to Arsenal's woes, but each season we see that they are quite short of top quality. I think till they can get their defensive situation sorted out, it is going to be difficult for Arsenal.
Cheers!

It's very important for Arsenal's problem in the defence to be tackled decisively. So, the all hands must be on deck to make money available for Wenger to lure quality defenders to the Emirates stadium. However, the team needs much more than very good defenders, it equally needs very good goal poachers to complement Robin van Persie who has been fantastic this season. It's unlikely that the owners of Arsenal will fire him because he's doing the best job of raking in huge profit every year.

You're right. However, have you taken a critical look at the players who form the back line of Arsenal? Per Mertesacker seems to be a disaster and others don't fare better. What of the strikers and attacking mid-fielders like Theo Walcott? It seems they are goal shy. So, the problem of Arsenal is consistency and more...
