I'm very worried about a friend of mine....

She has been under a tremendous amount of stress as she lost her father a few months back, and then not long after her grandmother. She left our town to go to the United States to take care of her father's estate and with her grandmother passing, she has been living in her grandmother's mobile home. But given that it is a senior's residential, the community is trying to get her to leave, but given that she now owns the mobile, she isn't going to move. Fast forward to now. Today is her birthday and I go on FB to wish her happy birthday. I'm a friend who received her banking and her other girlfriends have been really good friends for many years. We all got to chatting and realize no one has heard from our mutual friend since her last posting on Oct. 5 on FB! So we chat back and forth via private msgs and put the pieces together that not only has no one heard from her, but her cousin who lives in another state got a phone call on Oct. 9/11 about our friend (his cousin) asking if they knew about her being in the hospital and something to do with a fire! I decide with a lot of thought, to open her banking statement and a letter from the government regarding her medical coverage (she is very ill with a blood disorder). It seems either she or "someone" has used an ATM to pull out her Disability funds in two separate transactions on January 25/12. She is living in a very small town in Oregon that we know of and she was really having a tough time, what with the lawyer and her father's estate, and then her grandmother's estate. She doesn't have any connection with her sister as there is bad blood. I'm thinking a call to Oregon police department may be in order and my friend is going to call her sister who may have the town our girlfriend is living in (we hope still there) Is there anything else that could be done, that I may have forgotten? I just hope she is ok.

Oh I'm so sorry. I hope no one set that fire and injured her. Some folks will be mean if they want to get you out of a place. I've seen it with people with AIDS or something.. the whole community would try to get the family to leave... hope nothing like that happened to your friend. I can't think of anything... I think you have thought about just about everything.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions :). Her blood disorder isn't AIDS, it is to do with her blood not filtering properly through her kidneys etc. She has had to go in for blood transfusions as well as having to cycle her blood so that the toxins and build up are removed. But the process is very involved and she has to go to the hospital to have it done. SHe also has a very rare blood type, which doesn't help. I haven't heard from the other woman yet, I'm hoping she will have moe to share with me shortly.

Thank you so much for the prayers and understanding. Her mother is not alive as far as I know. I don't have any contact information for her lawyer, but I am hoping that in the next little while that the other woman has heard something. Prayers are greatly appreciated.
