Occupy Men's Room

College students in Guangzhou, China launched an "occupy men's room" campaign on last Friday to call for more women's restrooms.
As women take more time in restroom than men, the 1 to 1 rate of the men's/women's restrooms actually means less-toilet-access for women. Women usually have to wait in line for using the restrooms.
While some of their compatriots prevented men from using the men's restrooms and directed women there instead, others held up gender equality protest boards and distributed leaflets to passers-by.
Even men understand such an activity as they have to wait as well while their girlfriends use the public women's room while they go shopping together.

that's an interesting way to protest. i haven't particularly been feeling oppressed about not having enough restrooms for women, but i have exprienced enough waiting time outside cubicles to consider that it would make sense to make more restrooms for females. i'm just not sure if it should be a priority though.

This is not common. I don't think it is advisable to solve the problem through legislation. More women's restrooms are needed. But, in this case here men's rights are apparently impaired. Gender equality should be achieved equally both to women and men.

I have been perplexed forever by this issue. Women will always need more time in the toilet then men usually and also more frequently, then why do all toilets in the world have the equal number of stalls for both men and women. Are there no women designers?
