i have no stalker in facebook. luckily in other people experience they have met people in the internet assuming anonymous name and when they get to know the real person name. they presume another identity and befriend them in facebook. in that way unassuming victim does not identify him and he get all the access to spy on her activities so it s hard to trust and add people you hardly know.

Unavoidable once you participate in one of those social media website. You might encounter one of those mysterious admirers or stalkers on the shadow. They will attempt to find your profile information as much as they can, and they will take a chance to make friend with you. So, I think it is up to the website that you sign up to protect your privacy.

Yes kingparker is right. If you have friends, make it a point that your profile is visible only to them or going still strict you could make it viable only by the best friends and others would only see the outer outlet. Take care.

When there is a friend request and in a fictitious name, I usually send a personal letter asking where and how we have met. If he/she will not reply then I have a reason to ignore him/her.

well i think you don't need any application ,for that you have to be little aware only.you are right when this kind of account who have less friend and activity may be stalker.but it is not true with every account.there are many people who want to be very private and have less friend in there account.so if you are using any application for that there is possibility that you may loss few of your friends.

I don't think there is an application to locate stalkers on Facebook. Most of them appear to be scams to gather a users personal information. I would just steer clear of them all together.

cairalyssa, I have never heard of this before.
What do they hope to get from us actually?
I think they are accepted friends, who turned out to be stalkers.
If they are, just block them from your private setting, and
after that they can not see you anymore.
Is that right, cairalyssa?

This is the first time I am hearing of this application. If you find out what it is, if indeed it does exist, please let me know.
The only thing is, a good stalker will have several identities and will be difficult to keep track of. I am also in the same boat. It is scary. Be safe. Just because it is online, does not mean it won't happen in real life. Be careful.

It really depends on the activity of the stalker. You'll know if that is really interested at you because that person will like some of your post or photos especially when it has been a week since you had posted. It is evident right that he had been so curious with what you had done on a week right? But there are some, just like me ( Yes, I stalk on Facebook but not to the extent that I want to harm that person, I'm just looking for updates) I just viewed on that person on what he had posted but not liking his/ her status.
By the way, the application on Facebook about who viewed your profile is not true. I've read that on Yahoo News. It was just a hoax.

People like to be stalked they just don`t admit it. Maybe not in the streets or in real life but on social networks.
People you don`t know you don`t accept. IF you don`t want strangers viewing your profile you set the privacy settings and the job is done. Also a lot of people would like some kind of application which would show them who hangs around their profile the most because that would give them an insight of who likes you the most.

Hi cairalyssa,
Well I am there on FaceBook for about three years now and have not come across any thing like stalkers. I have 195 friends in the list and as usual some are non active, some are less active and some are active and yet some others are very active and we have good rapport with each other.
Some time I too get buzz for chat, mostly from males and as you are woman this is natural that some troll like creatures are trying to make out of you. e careful of them. With what username you are there on face book? This is up to you to reply or not to reply.
