Hi victorkrish,
Yes I read every day whether it's the news, books, magazines, Scripture or whatever. I think it is so important to read every day as reading is like fuel to me as for as writing is concerned. One can learn much from others and improve one's English at the same time by reading widely. There is only so much one can learn by talking to others or listening to them. Also reading is the most convenient form of learning.

We should read for many purposes - to be informed, to learn, to be entertained, to understand (which is vital in forming opinions and making sense of what's going on around us). There are many benefits in reading and reading is an important skill for people. However, there are many people who dislike reading for many reasons.
Reading should always be pleasurable and a good experience. There's should be no limit or constriction on what a person should read. It depends on the person. It should not be chore but a habit. For diversity, a person can read almost anything as long as it keeps teh perosn interested. reading for reading's sake can have aversive effects.

What's the use of learning how to read when you don't read at all. There was a quote that I had read that "A person who haven't read any thing has no difference with someone who haven't read at all". If you'll just open your mind, you'll realize the essence of reading, Reading helps us to gain more knowledge, widens our vocabulary and a lot of experiences depending on what you had read.

Reading every day is something that helps keep my mind rather sharp. Then again, there are some people who don't really have the patience to reading any kind of formal book. Of course, if you really think about it, if you are on the Internet and look at any content, you are reading something in some way. Granted, it might not be the same thing as traditional reading.
I just really enjoy kicking back with a good book and really enjoying it, to really unwind after a rather long day. I think that it is a good idea to read at least fifteen minutes to a half of an hour. But I do understand that reading is really is not really for everyone to say the very least. There are some people where you have to twist their arm to get them to read.

I think we always should read something everyday, no matter if it's a book or a journal. It's important because we need to be updated with the world and always learning new words.

Reading doesn't just enrich your vocabulary; it has other benefits, too. It opens up a new horizon, a great adventure. It keeps you informed; it also allows you to expand your imagination. By developing this as a habit, it can enhance your level of confidence to understand all types of information. Moreover, it improves your creativity, enriches your memory and it builds self-esteem. You can also develop your peaking skills by reading out loud. Another benefit of reading is that it exercises your mind, making it easier for you to focus. When we continue to read, we would have an opportunity to expand our mind. Reading is very important. You can create your own world and adventure through reading books, etc.

I read because I enjoy it. I don't find it a chore. My old principal said long ago than reading everyday can help us become more knowledgeable(obviously) and keep our heads working and improve comprehension skills.

Yes. we must read. We can learn from others reading or watching a video or a movie. Easiest way for learning--provided you like the subject is by reading--you do not depend on others. You need a book/magazine/website to read and you can do it successfully. Without reading we cannot understand forms, news etc. hence we must read.

Yeah we must do it. Reading minimum of ten is a good exercise for our mind.. We can get new ideas about things that we thought are useless. This can enhance our knowledge and we can speak to other people whoever they are because we have lots of ideas..

It depends on a person if he wants to read or not. If you are the person who wants to improve his writing skills and gain knowledge then you must read as much as possible if you have time. But one should also be careful of what he is reading, you are what you read. Find time to read the book of Burke Hedges entitled "Read and Grow Reach". You will appreciate how important it is to be able to read. Leaders were made, freedom has gained, all because of reading books. Even in my country, two novels fueled the revolution of my countrymen against foreign oppressor.

Interesting question is what do you consider reading? Is it just a reading of physical books and newspapers/magazines or reading a web content as well? I don't see real difference in reading book, or reading same title in PDF or some other electronic mode. Though, I must admit that I prefer books. Maybe it's because of the fact that I use to them, since there was no e-books when I was a kid. About newspapers and magazines, I don't care too much. Except some magazines with great photos, like National Geographic for example.
Anyway, my point is that we all spend more than 10 minutes every day on line, and most of the time we read something.
