Do you bring food to office for lunch? If so, please care about the material of the container. According to specialists, stomachache and other faults, if any, has nothing to do with the food, but the container.

Currently I don't need to bring food to my office for lunch for I could have my lunch in the department. I work in a big department of government which has its own canteen. Every noon I put my access card on the machine and get the meal. It's a pity that the meal has been collocated so that I have no choice. But I still feel it very convenient for I don't need to care about where to have my lunch and whether the food is clean or not.

Combo meals - Popular for lunch
In most cases yes! I do bring food in the office. I cook my own and pack it so I could eat my own cooking and not the unhealthy food offered in the fast-foods around or in the carinderia that sprouts like mushroom in the vicinity. If not I'd be really miserable because that means I have no choice but make a choice between fastfood and carinderia. Which is which?

I take my foods with me everyday. The majority of foods that I eat do not require heating (mostly raw fruits and vegetables) and I package in glass when I can, but most of the time I package my foods in sandwich bags.

Yeah i do bring food to office for lunch because save me some money instead of buying outside. You don't know if the food is clean if you buying outside. Much better make it sure the container is clean. Wipe you food container before you put the food and don't cover while its hot so it not spoil the food that is my tip for you.

During my working days initially i used to carry food with me in special aluminium lunch boxes. After that food was delivered to me in an aluminium container picked up from my house and brought to the office at lunch time by a special group of people known as the "dabbawalas",which literally means the men with boxes.Prince Charles of Britain before his marriage to Princess Diana had come to Mumbi to see them and get to know their strategy and was thoroughly impressed with thwm and then invited them to his wedding.Coming back to your discusion i do not recall even once falling ill or having any stomach problems while eating from the container.

I do sometimes take leftovers from dinner to work for my lunch. I have not really ever had any trouble with stomach aches but I could see where certain materials might cause that. What type of containers have you read that are causing stomach aches?

Hi zhuhuifen46, I bring food to office daily. But well packed and heated good. I used to care very much for the cleanliness of the container and the food inside it. But the things you have said above is new and I believe that. Thanks for putting forward. Cheers... Have a great day always...

I used to bring food for lunch in the office and make sure the container that I will be using is clean.I used to bring lunch for practicality and of course homemade food is more delicious that I might buy at the canteen.
