I've been coupon hunting...

I've found coupons in lots of odd places - I'd expect to find them online and in the newspaper, but I found coupons for frozen sliders (cheeseburgers) on the hot chocolate box. The coupon is for a free box, which is a pretty good deal because we'd buy the hot chocolate anyway. The sliders make a good back-up food for my husband's lunch. We also found a coupon for a free tub of yoghurt on the MiniWheats box and a coupon for a free lb of bananas on the Corn Pops box. I've noticed more and more of these coupons lately. Considering that they are coupons for an entire free item, I thik it works even if it isn't an item we'd normally eat, we can eat it anyway. Although today at the store I found, on a tear off pad of coupons, coupons for a free dozen eggs if you bought 3 Kraft products. While many of the products are things we would buy anyway, the Kraft brand costs more than store brand so there was no point. How have your coupon adventures been going?

I am finding more coupons on specially marked packages and some are really good. Tear pads are showing up in many stores in this area. Kraft is a costly brand and I don't buy it.

I've occasionally bought Kraft peanut butter, but I usually avoid brands because the store brand is cheaper. I just thought it was funny that I almost got sucked into spending a bunch more money just to use a coupon. Some of the coupons have been really good and for things I would buy anyways.

I've found this too. Sometimes it works out though, especially if the item is on sale and you get to use the coupon as well.

I am personally just now about to jump back into couponing again. I did a really good job of it for a while but I haven't felt like doing that, or really much of anything for that matter for a while now because of the fact that I've been dealing with depression. Now, this past weekend we had a total of seven kids and four adults in our house and we went through a lot of groceries. That, in and of itself, reminded me of why couponing is so very important.
