Well again I washed some clothes and found a set of 3 tiny keys in the washer. Son has some tiny keys for his work he has to use, so keeps them seperate from his house and car keys. lots of times he misses taking them out of his pocket. I tell him, he even likes his keys clean. Ive only missed a couple of kleenex now and then all my life! would you believe. yet, Ive washed clothes with money (thats the best to find) and once my youngest sons ID, etc. What have you forgotten, or washed up?

Oh my...I think I have washed most everything at least once. I have cargo pants that I have to wear to work. It is uniform and there are at least five pockets in them. I have everything from little notes jotted to pens in them here and there. I try to clean them out good but there have been times that in a rush to get them off, I have left this or that in there. I think the worst thing I washed was a little pen that I had and it got ink all over the laundry!!!! I was able to save most of the stuff with this amazing stain remover that I found but it certainly made me more cautious when putting my stuff in the dirty laundry.

My worst thing was a green crayon my son put in his pocket when he was about two years old. They was okay, but the dryer makes them melt on everything.

i should be glad then that my son only misses removing his small keys. i can see why he misses them. they are 3 small keys on a small ring. i used to check all pockets, but these days i seem to forget to check other peoples before i wash.

hi and the worst in apt complex washrooms is having the bits of tissue all over the inside of the dryer too. I stood there picking
off those bits while this fellow resident male tapped his foot.
I felt like saying well if you really want all my kleenex bits on your clothes then I will leave you to it.

I do agree that tissues are one of the worst things that could be put through the wash. The tissues dissolve and get stuck on everything and i do mean EVERYTHING lol. I keep lint rollers and brushes for this though. The worst is a candy bar that went through the wash. you have to remove the tiny bits of candy and rewash. It really does get annoying.

i find money, sometimes, or keys. I have washed Kleenex as well. I try to not make that habit. Cats have hidden in the washer and gotten surprised from time to time as well. They have not done a whole cycle though.

oh my. yes its best to keep washer closed with cats. my daughter here found a cat in the washer once when she seen some boys at the laundry mat laughing and running away when she approached. it was lucky she opened it and it was still alive. they had started the wash. we did get a good cat out of it tho. he was well taken care when she got poor thing home.

That's funny, I guess he's got clean keys all the time. I've learned to check my hubby's pockets, I've washed bullets, screws and washers, nails, little light bulbs, fuses, you name it. He's a mechanic so there's no telling what's in his pockets most of the time..lol.

Tissues, please no- especially with dark colored clothes
When my kids are smaller, usually they want their small toys to be washed also (hahaha)
ID, test papers, coins and bills also wanted some clean-up.
My washer stopped once due to coins caught and stuck that makes the spin stopped.
Since then, I always tried to check every pocket to avoid such problem.

due to the nature of sons job. cleaning up construction sites, i dont like checking his clothes so much, mud and chemicals etc. i know, a while back my 3 yr old grand daughter snuck in her moms laundry room threw all her dolls in the wash and turned it on. most were ruined i said how smart but mischeivious was that.

I always check pockets of my clothese before washing them in the machines. However, other family members don't do the same thing and most of the time it is kleenex that can be washed with their clothes. It is so annoying to find tissue paper when you the clothes out of the machine. I've also found money, keys, bus pass, ID cards, etc washed up with the clothes...So, now whenever I do laundry, I check the pockets to make sure they are empty

i used to do that. but these days i dont know why i get in a rush. plus at times one of my grown kids here will start the wash but not finish it so im opted to do so. i hate so much when they do that. i put a sign up, so they dont do it as much these days.
