Mobile Number Portability

Has anyone faced problems in port out to another network recently? I have been trying to port out of Airtel and have already tried submitting papers thrice. Airtel is simply rejecting my port out request for no valid reason and not letting me port out. I am feeling really sick of this network as they have increased calling and message rates compared to another network. Share your problems if you have been a victim recently.

Hello sanath kumar, I have also been facing the same problem of increased sms and call rates from airtel. I do not want to spend any rental everyday for any sms, So I am also going to switch over the network to something else which has no rental. Initially I had thought about Vodafone, but then, now even Vodafone also collects rental charges from last week. So, may be Idea will be a better choice I guess, or I will go for docomo. Still thinking about it as I do not know the charges of these networks. Got to find out and change!

I currently have submitted papers to port in to Vodafone. I was offered a tariff of half paise per sec with 100 local/national sms free per day without any rental. I hope they dont collect any rental. Else, my port in to Vodafone would be a waste.. :( :( ..

Yes. Airtel are really a menace these days. But, I've previously ported my number from tata indicom to vodafone, and there was no problem at all. If your connection is postpaid, make sure you have no outstanding. Then only you can port.
