Haii.. How do you think govt will get money then. Their main source for money is Taxes. The public services are maintained by taxes we pay. So if we stop paying task then its like a full stop to public service.Imagine a city without road, :). But now a days things are going to like we are paying taxes to fill their pocket not for the service we get. thats the trend now. But what to do, democracy is just for the sake of democracy now a days. If other wise these politicans would have stopped involving in scandal if they fear The power of democracy.

Without taxes, there will be no public services or facilities. Who is going to pay the civil servants? Who is going to pay for the public facilities like roads, cheap medical centres or hospitals, bridges, etc? There is a whole lot of money being earned through government generated projects and works. If government don't have money to initiate these works, then the companies relying on that will also die off.

The tax system allows the Government to pay for services which could not be effectively managed any other way. The government uses your tax payments to support national defence, policing and many other social services such as public schools, safe highways, health care, prisons and social services for low-income citizens. Everyone has to admit that these services are necessary. But why must they be paid for with taxes? Why shouldn't we just pay individually for what we use? Some services, like highway maintenance, policing and social security, could not be easily managed any other way. The tax system allows us to be charged for such things on our ability to pay rather than for our actual use of the services, which would be completely impossible to assess and, in many cases, impossible to collect. The tax system is based on our "ability to pay." The more money we earn, the more taxes we pay. If we earn less, we pay less in taxes. It would be impossible to charge people for many of the services they use, especially in the case of unemployment payments and social help, care of the elderly and so on, because such people cannot, by definition, afford to pay. Instead, we have elected a government and, by doing so, we have undertaken a responsibility through that government to help those less fortunate than ourselves and have agreed that, whatever our individual use of social services, we shall contribute according to our means.

Because then the government would have no money to do things like fix roads and the economies would be terrible. The world just wouldn't be able to work right, yes taxes SUCK and no one likes them but they are what we need. Also back in the nineteenth century the US would just print more money when they needed more but they soon realized that isn't what they should be doing and so they started charging taxes.
