Not really. I mean sometimes it's nice to have a face to connect with the person you've been chatting with or discussing things with here on MyLot. It's not necessary though. Some of my favorite folks on here have blank pictures or pictures of things besides them as their avatar, it doesn't bug me. We don't need to judge someone by their 'cover' - we can judge them instead by their words. . Happy MyLotting!

Thank you for your response. Well we don't judge them basically on their pictures but on their discussion is true. But when you are already close with someone you still wish to see him behind his/her discussions. You want to know him/her more and not to be friended with a total stranger all the time.

Personally, I'd rather have a friend who shows a real photo. It comes as being sincere. But I've come to accept the reality that most people don't like uploading their real pictures for varied reasons including for safety reasons. I noticed however that how appealing a picture is really plays a big factor in having more friends. Upload a picture of a pretty woman and you'll have guys wanting you to be their friend. But that's just my opinion :)

I don't think so.
Maybe it looks like the photo that attracts, but it's the discussion itself.
I don't look for topic posted with real photos, but how the topic attracts my interest.
Have a good day

I think it's more of how you behave, how many things you know about cause it's easier to interact, give advice and help, and most importantly is your attitude and how you respect other users or members (all this is based only on my own personal opinion and experience.)

@reallysuny, yes in social networking sites picture and updated photos are really important and an integral part, not so much on a discussion sites like Mylot cause needless to say, discussions, advice, relevance, knowledge, communication skills etc... would make more friends here, so yes I agree with you

naahhh....
i don think so.
with photoshop, you can create photo realistic fake editing so easily.
with that knowledge, we now can doubt any pictures if it is edited or not.
celebrities uses this to erase their flaws whenever
they pose for billboards or magazines.
you can even get haters and trolls if they caught you
using fake pictures.

I think you are right, my friend. Because many members here want a real person to be friend with.
Our photo's represent our identity and actions. Those hiding from fictitious photo's have something to hide or afraid to reveal their real identity in public.

Yes you are right my friend because there are some people who are so realistic and would never want to add or accept you if you don't show something real about your personality specially on physical features. For them real pictures make no strangers and it is easier for them to say they know you better not just from your discussion or comments but because they know you as you physically.

yeah this may be true if you are good looking but if you are not then things may go in reverse direction but according to me it does not matter if there is real photo or not.because your photos only tell about your beauty but your words really define you that is what you are from inside.this things attracts more people towards you.
