Former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly commented on Dhoni's rotation policy and fielding comment on seniors...
Ganguly said that if rotation policy is adapted, then we should find different captain for different format.
He also said that every team will have some weak fielders.
No team can have 11 excellent fielders, even
Australia was not able to produce a team with 11 good fielders..
And he added that Dhoni is trying to rotate players whose fielding is poor..
He also said that, Dhoni's favorite Raina should improve his batting technique to get the place for next world cup eleven(only fielders will not form a team....)
I think this is a good reply Dhoni got for his comment..

I was very impressed by Ganguly's comment.
I 100% agree with the comments.
A team will not be a team with 11 fielders, there is a lot of other things required for a team.
And even Aussies and SA are not completely filled with superb fielders.
And Raina should improve his batting very much.
And Dhoni need to rotate players who is out of form, even if it is an youngster.

Is it only Raina? There is also Rohit who is struggling.
All our players have to come out of their standard strokes. They are playing the same strokes for years together and the opponents bowl the same ball every time to get them out. It is obvious and awkward.
I think our Cine Stars can be sent to play instead of these Cricket stars. Cine artists have displayed a good cricket recently. (At least we won't feel bad even if they lose.)

surely Raina should Bat well to make his place in the team
Dhoni is trying to give place to a poor batsman, but not ready to have a player who is slightly poor fielder.
A cricketer should be good fielder, good batsman and good bowler, no team can have all 11 players equally good in all 3 department...
But Dhoni feels that Fielding is the top priority to judge a player..

I think Dhoni is playing favorites by constantly backing under-performing players like Raina. Raina is no youngster. He is a experienced player who is getting repeatedly exposed on bouncy pitches due to his inability to play short ball well. I also feel his temperament is suspect. When tied down by good bowling, he tries to hit out of trouble and gets out. Rohit is no better. He appears very casual in his approach while batting.
Honestly, I don't understand all talk in media about rift between juniors and seniors. There should be only one criteria for all and that is performance on the field. If you are not performing, then like Australia has shown you get booted out like Ponting. Someone would have to take that tough call.
I feel Indian selectors lack vision and authority. They never interact and make clear in which direction team is headed and vision it has laid out. So when team starts losing, players start squabbling amongst themselves lest they be blamed for the rot.
I just hope this a passing phase as when you keep losing, character of team is really tested. I also feel it is high time coach and manager of team on tours ensure better team management and help keep team united, otherwise hopes of turnaround would be a distant dream.

I am also of the same view that raina is not the youngster..
He has fair experience in ODI and Dhoni always tries to back him by saying youngsters should get the chance..
And the real youngster in this team are rahane and tiwary, they should get the chance instead Dhoni give Rohith and raina many chances...
selectors should think more seriously and pick the team with vision on future..
and I dont feel that there is some coach or manager is there for Indian team, if they are there, what are they doing??

Saurav Ganguly is the best Indian captain so far and his views are sensible. What Dhoni is saying or doing is senseless and in fact he has created uncomfortable atmosphere within the Indian team itself.Players are not together anymore as seniors are separated from juniors now. It is really stupidity to leave out seniors or favoring only juniors as Dhoni is doing now and the results are there to be seen. This is not Dhoni's team but this is Indian cricket team which had to be built and maintained in a proper way and the pillar of this team will be seniors for sure as they have served for so many years and still players like Sachin are good fielders and calling him a bad fielder is a joke. Actually Dhoni is the worst keeper till now and he has no right to call others poor fielders when he himself is a worst fielder

Its very clear that Dhoni has created the rift in Indian team which is unfortunate and useless for the team.
this is not what good captains do.
But I dont consider him as a poor wicket keeper, but think that now as the team has started losing continuously in overseas tour, Dhoni's cool nature is lost, he is feeling captaincy pressure, he is finding it difficult to manage..

Saurav Ganguly is a sensible player and he know about the cricket more than Dhoni did. In every team there is impossibility of having good 11 fielders. Same is true about the bowling and batting that all can't perform daily.
About raina he is very much right, he need to be rested or say must be replace by some other and the time had came to paly fair and not domincate the cricket with your power what DHoni is doing.

dhoni is trying to impose some plans which he is thinking right.
but he should think sensibly, will he be able to win a match with 11 excellent fielders??
he should compromise some talent from some player.
because some will be good in batting, other will be good in bowling, some will be excellent fielders also..

thats true dhoni is just focussing only on there top fielders ,a team is proven to be strong not for just having 11 excellent fielders.it has to contain every thinfg in it,as on top class batting, and good bowling tooooo

yeah that was a very good reply by Saurav Ganguly .because dhoni wants superman in every player of his team.he thinks that every player bat well ,bowl well and also field well.well this is not going to possible any way .because team like Australia don't have 11 Good fielders.and whom dhoni pointing is prove their fielding.

i am not sure but didn't Dhoni actually lifted the world cup with these so-called slow senior players?
why didn't he try rotating them then?
after all, some young fresh legs will save 20-30 odd runs in the field during world cup and Dhoni might not have to hit malinga got six to win the match (may be he would ).
something else made me laugh too.it was hayden's comment that slow fielders wont find a spot in the australian side.
i wonder how macgrath held his place in the playing eleven for more than a decade.
besides Dhoni is looking at it the wrong way.
if he had tried this rotations when india were doing so perfectly before the england series.good.
some would have critisized for changing the winning combo but it would have been for the future.
now the batting itself is struggling these days and he worries about fielding.
its pretty much like a person taking medication for cold when he has a heart problem.

you are absolutely right.
Dhoni find these players are slow fielders just now only..
And in recent cricket, surely fielding has improved and all the new coming players are good fielders and they should be good fielders, thats good.
But Sachin, viru and gauti are not bad fielders, can say they are just below excellent, but they can compromise their fielding in their batting.
Now the whole Indian batting is struggling and the seniors are also facing the same issue, on that time Dhoni is trying to kick them out by saying rotation policy and poor fielding..This sort of attitude is not good for the team and it will not benefit the team.

Well Ganguly is correct, Dhoni always has different sets of rules for those who are close to him and those who are not. Both Raina and Jadeja have not done enough to earn a permanent place in the team and it seems they are in the team just as fielders.Since he is thinking about next World Cup as he , what is the need of spin all-rounder in the team.Extremely talented batsman like Tiwari and Rahane are being ignored continuously. However not being too critical ,i think Dhoni is not at all happy with performances of seniors ,especially Sehwag, so he is targeting them on the basis of fielding, whatever is the case ,all this drama is not good for Indian cricket at all.

I think our captain cool has finally lost his cool and making ridiculous comment. Almost the same team has brought the world cup home( well at least the players who he has mentioned had contributed a lot ).
I think he is not being able to take the criticism regarding his rotation theory. That is the reason behind such comment.
Definitely Ganguly know the game more better than dhoni and it is a great reply about which dhoni needs to think seriously.
If a team get 11 excellent fielder and out of form batsmen, it will definitely lose like current indian team.
