What do you think about Nomophobia? Do you or any your friend suffer it?

Today I read an aritcle about nomophobia. Nomophobia is the fear of being out of mobile phone contact. The term is an abbreviation for "no-mobile-phone phobia". The aritcle said nearly 53 percent of mobile phone users in Britain tend to be anxious when they "lose their mobile phone, run out of battery or credit, or have no network coverage".
I was really surprised to read it. I wonder how many mylotters know Nomophobia and how do you think about it?

I've never heard of that before today, but that's pretty interesting. I would say the totals would be the same or higher in the united states. It seems like everyone has a cell phone these days and it is their only way of communicating with people. Where i live my town doesn't really have cell service so it feels kind of weird to lose it when I get home but I'm so used to it I don't miss it.

Thanks for your reply. I think it's interesting too. Howver it seems not popular here on mylot. One day past I just received one reply.
I think a lot of people around us has the problem. I heared a story about one teacher in the UK. She forgot her mobile phone at home. When she arrived at school she found she had no mobile around her then left school without telling anybody. Just went home to pick her mobile. Then many students were left without any teacher.
