My cat, Jake, eats my dog's food whenever he gets the chance. He'll sit at the bowl even if there is some food already in it and just cry until someone fills it to the top. I admit, the cat is fat and if it were up to me, I wouldn't feed him all that dog food. Anyone else have to deal with this problem?

you should "spank" your cat if he eats dog food so he can distinguish the right to eat.

I didn't know it's okay for cats to eat dog food. I used to go to the grocery and I feel frustrated as there's not much of a choice for cats but dog food has a lot of variety in the shelf. I didn't dare give my cat dog food for fear of indigestion. Maybe you can hide the dog food until the dog finishes it off so he won't be tempted to eat them. :D

This one makes me laugh.Week ago, a topic about dog eating a grass and now a cat eating a dog food. I have a dog and a cat but we don't give them dog food or something like that. What we are eating, they eat it too. If we have fish, meat or vegetables, they eat all of them also. So this is no big problem for me. Its good that they share food but if it can harm your little friend Jake due to over eating then you should find a way to separate them.
