I am so happy because last Thursday I received my Undergraduate Degree in the mail and I am so proud of myself! I've had people (family members) tell me that I was stupid because I didn't know English when I first came here. Which is stupid because of course I'm not going to know English coming to this country, because I was 8! But I'm just happy that I proved so many people wrong. And this is just the beginning.
I plan on accomplishing all my goals because the things that people have said about me drives me even more to accomplish more of my goals.
When was the last time you achieved a goal that you were working hard towards?

Hey, congratulations!!!! What was your undergrad course? Is it related to learning English?
Anyway, congratulations to you! I'm sure you did your best and I'm sure you already celebrated!
I haven't been doing anything big lately so I can't say I achieve a goal that I was working hard to attain. Just small tasks at work and at school.
Congrats again!

Of course, you deserve a graduation gift! I'm sure your major was no easy task. I'm happy for you. And wow, you've got two jobs, good luck with that. Let's do our best!

My Major was English: Literature and Language. Although there were bumps along the road I did try my best with my college courses and I was able to pull through in the end and bring the long awaited diploma home. I am very proud of myself and made sure to celebrate and buy myself a graduation gift because I deserve it. I'm trying to take it slow right now since graduating, and right now I am trying to accomplish small tasks just like you are. Just waking up and going to my two jobs every day is a goal in itself. So I wish us both the best of luck! Happy mylotting!

Congratulations!
Once you achieve your goals, I hope you get to hang out with more positive and respectful people. Geesh!
I'm always working on goals. I'll let you know when I accomplish one. But mostly finishing weavings or presents. But I have others coming.
Congrats and take care.

Yeah I definitely have cut all ties with those "family" members. I dont' feel I deserve to hang around with such negative people. I'm very happy that I've accomplished one of my bigger goals and I'm very excited to accomplish many more. Weavings sounds interesting, I hope you can finish some and share it with us here on mylot.

I finished one and shared it. I put it under crafts. I will finish others and share them, too.
Congrats on accomplishing a very big goal.
Glad you were able to cut ties with the negative family members. Maybe some day they'll grow up. Then again, maybe not.

Congratulations to you and well done. It's always most important that you are proud of yourself and your accomplishments.
My last goal was my drivers licence, which I got after about 6 months, and only 2 attempts at the test. I was over the moon with this.

Thank you very much! I am very proud because it took a lot of hard work. My mother wants me to get my drivers license but honestly, I'm afraid of driving so that's all the way at the bottom of my list of goals. Congratulations on getting your drivers license!

Congrats on getting your degree and I am proud that you want to pursue your goals and are not allowing anyone to stand in your way of your dreams. I know my family thinks that I am wasting time pursuing my first Masters Degree and are trying to talk me out of wanting my second degree. I refuse to listen to my parents and will be pursuing my degrees because it is important to me.

Good for you! I feel that at times we have to follow our own dreams because they are OUR dreams not anyone else's, and we want to achieve them for reasons that not everyone will not understand. I wish you the best with both of your Masters, if that's what you want then go ahead and do it! I am applying for graduate schools as well and hope that I get accepted into one so I can get my first Master's as well. Happy Mylotting!

Congratulations for that great accomplishment! At least you have proved people wrong, they might have thought you can't do it first, but you have successfully proved to them that you really can!
You should thank them in a way because they served as one of your inspiration to strive harder to achieve that diploma. Right?!

Exactly! I was able to prove to them and it's funny because they themselves have not gone to college; and here is the stupid little Spanish girl who was able to graduate with a college degree and is on her way to get a Master's. But they also served as motivation for me to keep going. There was a time in college when I was going to give up because I thought it was hopeless but I kept going forward. So yes, I wouldn't necessarily say they are an inspiration but their words are motivating me to keep going forward.
